Kentaro Katayama lives near Tokyo. He won "Super Dash" book prize in 2003 for his story "Denpa Biyori". Back then he still used the pen name: "Daisuke Katayama". The story was published by Shueisha in 2004 as "Denpatekina Kanojo".

Kure-nai and his debut series are taking place in the same world and some characters actually appear in both, i.e. Juzawa Benika, Ochibana, Kirishima and Endou.
