Here's a quick fact about Easter 2011. Eastern and Western Christianity usually celebrate Easter on different days because they follow different calendars. However, for two years in a row (2010-2011), Easter has been celebrated on the same day by both East and West. This super rare. In fact, it's so rare that some people attribute it to the theory that the world will end soon (like the 2012 thing with the Mayan calendar).
At least that's what my professor told me on Friday right when class ended. |

2012 is not even the end of the mayan calendar cycle. seems they miscalculated the calendar when they corresponded it with our calendar... and they slipped 50-100 years.  hah. thread

There is a website that no longer gets updated at http://www.abhota.info/end5.htm that gathered all the doomsday predictions they could find, there were dozens each year, and no doubt many more they never heard of - considering historically most of them pretty much disappear when they turn out to be rubbish. thread
