"Slice of life plus drama" fits what is in my life right now

If I had to live in a genre then might as well make it interesting and go with fantasy. Also add some romance to that so I can be living a romantic fantasy.

If my current life was a manga, it would be a slice of life haha..
But if I had to live a life in a genre, it would be supernatural, definitely XD

I say comedy bcoz of what has happened recently.
I actually went out (for school matters) with a piece of tissue paper stuck to my face, I didn't know until this elderly woman caught my attention and told me there's something on my face I was in a hurry so I was far away from my point of origin (a.k.a the house), but I think only 4 people saw me it was 5 in the morning

I'm also clumsy and absent-minded at times.

After considering romance(my mon shure is for me) i chose Sci-Fi.
I am a cyberpunk extraordinar and i would like to see human augmentation in my lifetime. There's a big difference between what would it be and what one want it to be, not much historical, mecha and supernatural irl.

Horror, since it sounds kinda fun

It boggles my mind that harems (along with pedophelia and gender benders) are such a reoccurring theme in manga that it's become it's own genre. The Japanese know so little about relationships that they don't realize a harem is more work and strife than a normal couple.
Just an island (archipelago to be more specific) full of very sexually confused kids and young adults

I think the question could be a bit more clear, it seems that most people here think it's "what genre would you want your life to be", while I assume it's meant to be about your real, current life. But we might get some interesting results that way

I think my real life would be this kind of dark comedy in which you follow the bitter, grumpy main character throughout their everyday boring life and see them react to the bad things that keep happening with sarcasm and resignation. As for what I'd like my life to be... I think that fantasy and adventure could be fun... definitely not horror or tragedy

This is an interesting question. I took it to mean what you would want to live in rather than what your life is now - otherwise, not much point in listing historical, fantasy, horror, sci-fi, supernatural... But it could be read either way, so it's also revealing how people interpret it. If it was the life I'm living now, I'd say 'comedy of errors'.

I said 'fantasy' because I grew up reading Lord of the Rings, and the good parts of that world are so appealing. Thanks for the suggestion, kitty1826x!

Seinen slice of life. Not a hint of comedy or romance but some drama exists. Wish it was romantic harem instead.

But not about murders and the like. Just your everyday mundane mysteries like where did that sock I put in the washing machine last weekend go, or for how long did that piece of tomato has been in my refrigerator, or since when did that pack of instant ramen has been in my cupboard.

sadly there is no "depressing" category.

Realistically, it'd probably be along the lines of Drama and Psychological, since I suffer from a mental disorder and struggle to complete my education and get a job like other people.

If I could choose, I'd add Romance. Well, talk about unrealistic, but one can dream ^^

Yeah, I actually liked the idea behind the poll but asking what genre your life is or what you'd like it to be at the same time doesn't make too much sense.

I put slice of life because that's what my life would be, I'd be sliced up and ta-da!

I voted fantasy... "Be a knight of the round table.. Have at you and all that!! " 'Chop up the black knight everyday etc.'

Well, my life's genre would be slice of life. It could also be a mystery. The mystery of why I'm still not a billionaire. There's also some romance, albeit a sad one. LOL But here are the reasons why I'd like my life genre to be something else:

Action / Martial Arts - I wish I could kick some ass. I've always wanted to be some kind of spy or something.
Adventure - I'd really, really like to travel. I've never had the opportunity to do so but wouldn't if be great to do some exploring?
Comedy - Of course I want some fun. Who doesn't?
Drama - Just a little bit. Nothing over dramatic.
Ecchi / Hentai / Smut- ROFL
Fantasy / Supernatural / - Now this would be great. I can finally have the powers that I've always wanted. I could control the elements, or possibly be telekinetic, or I could pass through solid objects. The list just goes on and on.
Horror / Psychological - I only want this if it the story of my life still ends well. Happy endings, you know.
Mystery - It adds a little touch of suspense. I've always wanted to try doing some sleuthing.
Romance - Oooh. I'd want a happy ending. A prince charming. The man of my dreams finally come true.

But you see, the reason why I read manga and books is because my life just ISN'T those genres.

There is only one choice. Harem. Best mixed with fantasy for same elves and hentai for action ;P.

I'm sad that so many people has no spine and just play it safe with slice of life. Every other choice is better then this one.

Since monogamy is fiction, one of my goals in life is to have an Harem'ish situation with a rotating collection of girls that I care for more than fuckbuddies. And hentai, because sex is the spice of life, and vanilla sex is boring and for people with low sex drives/that haven't had the option to try something more fun yet.

As for overall setting, I wouldn't mind there being more to life than science and evolution, so some kind of fantasy, albeit not the elves/dwarves kind.

As for people who chose Tragedy because it's how they feel their life really is - DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, OR IT WILL REMAIN SO. No one cares, and no one's going to fix it for you, nor should they. Your life is your responsibility. Been there, done [something about] that. It works.

Thank god my life is not a manga, the editors would have axed my episodic slice-of-life long ago...
