I've been interested in reading their web manhwa release. They're so colorful and their lines are clear, but I've never get around to it. Maybe because I have some sort aversion against form/paneling that isn't for traditional printed book/magazine. Are they any good?

I've never heard of either of those groups before, but I stand by MU's choice. Best to make sure their petty squabbles have minimum chance of bringing unwanted attention to our community.

Looks to me like those two groups have brought this on themselves........this immature, overly-competitive crap just isn't good for the overall medium. This is no different than groups trying to poach titles from one another (something yomanga is also most definitely guilty of, above and beyond this particular situation)......so yeah, you brought this on yourselves by acting this way to begin with. HeyManga was never intend to do anything funny to any other site.

The manga that we do, are fully translate by us and paid by me on my own expenses. I hire a professional korean female translator to do the work.

I paid her per chapter, before that, I will buy the manga RAW directly from the 2 korean site, TopToon and Lezhin.

Definitely there were no cases of stealing. Was the raw really a matter ? Frankly speaking, the raw cost less than 1 USD at the site itself, why would we steal that, when we paid 5 to 10 times more for the translation and we won't use a low quality raw.

To add on, we are really a manga group that really want to do translation for the greater good of all manga lovers.

YoManga is unhappy because we tap into this Korean Adult Manhwa Market, but all we want to do is just to show good quality manhwa that does not have popup, malware or irritating ads. We also doesn't show any attitude to our users, we don't ban them or whatever.

If you realise, we actually did Kitsch (64 chapters), Ghost Some, Cohabit, Sie-Un, My Wifes, Sikinen, Twin Slaves, Guest House. All this were already on YOManga for very long but not translated.

We decided to translate them as not because they are on yomanga, we ensure it was not translate then we did it. It was high ranking in the TopToon & Lezhin.

Later on, we decided to do some manhwa that YoManga do(but we din't steal anything). I don't think its wrong to do a manhwa that someone already take(consider we take less than a few hours to release) while the latter group take a few days to release.

Its not our fault to be fast, comic lover have a choice to pick what they want to read and who to read from, our site are also safe.

We also tried to peace talk with Leguron and SAM directly for few time, about each session 1 hour, but after a day or two, SAM who promise to take down our manhwa that he copied without credit, did it again.

Reason is: His visitor love the new manhwa. Below are his emails

So what happen is SAM did add credit of Done by HeyManga instead of Done by HeyManga.xyz (Only on page 1), and the font size is like 14px (at bottom left).

while every page got "YoManga.co" on top right, he is just outright using our manhwa, he don't have the resources to hire people to translate so he decided to steal our work. He keep giving excuses at here and reddit saying we steal his raws, come on. why would I steal a less than 1 dollar USD raw when I spent more than a few times on the translation itself.


After trying to reach him for a few days. this is what happen

He decided to only use it for future release, so what he do now is, he ask his translator "The Bester" or whatever, to read my manhwa, and rewrite it.

The reason why I know is because in the manhwa "Sie-Un" , the crazy fat guy who stalk the female lead is call "DUCK CHEON" which is translated by my Korean Female Manhwa artist, she say there is a few variation so she just give it a random name.

I realise YoManga also use the same name, then for same bubbles, he use exactly the same words. like

WHY?

YoManga also the same. So now he stop repost my work directly (take away my watermark and put in his watermark), but he rewrite some of the lines, and then post it with high similarity.

Everything focusing on User Experience at top most priority. I myself also did correct the word that was type wrongly by the Translator to ensure although our quality is low, we keep it at a read-able level.

My fault is to threathen you with DDOS initially.

But i really din't ddos yomanga, why would I go talk to Sam the owner of YoManga and Leguron when DDOS happen. I wanna clear the things up.

The time when I talk to Leguron (to the time when Yomanga was hit with ddos) was about a few weeks later.I got work in real life and I think I make a bad conversation previously so I think of spending a hour to talk to both of them, to clear that it was not me.

Then what happen is, they keep accusing me stealing their raws. you can see I actually make the purchase myself. IT was not I borrow someone account.

Both account are under my gmail. So what I trying achieve was


1) I will continue repost Yomanga releases, with their credits, watermark intact.
2) They will allow to repost my translation(if they want to), but keep my credits and watermark intact.
3) They are not allow to remove my watermark and add in their watermark.

I did over close to 200 chapters of about 8 manhwa, and they just steal it and post with their watermark, using photoshop to remove my watermark. They don't even buy the raws.

So what do you think, who is at fault, yes my chat I am offensive, but it was an angry words. I did not spent 1000 usd or 100 usd to ddos yomanga, the person who threathen yomanga was not me, or anyone I know of / hire or whatever.

This is what I trying to say. You can also see that the screenshots I post, consist of sam agree to remove my series, but added back because his "visitor/audience/supporter" love the new releases.

He promise to re-add with my watermark, so what happen is every page of the manga that he stolen from my translation is watermark with YOmanga.co on top right.

Only page 1 , font pixel about 14 , blur , Done by heymanga on bottom left.

This is what he meant by "keep my credits", he just write my credits his way and not repost what it look like in my site.

You can also see that yomanga had a history of "stealing people" work and take over other manga release, so now the same thing happen to them, by HeyManga group who is more efficient and fast in release. they are unhappy and decided to play the dirty way.

Regardlessly, the attacker of your site at that outrage is not done by me, I mention, if you continue to keep empty promise to remove the manga chapter that you stolen and put in your own watermark on top. I will do something about it (after the outrage was already done) - not me seriously.

You are always free to use my translation with my credits intact. That's it. but you don't want to, because you don't want your viewers to know the manga is from HeyManga. but you want the translation, because you are poor and your translators are busy.

I read a few releases from YoManga(YM) and only 1 from Heymanga(HM).
Basically in everything YM wins-TL, editing, availability(I can't even view releases on HM if i don't disable AdBlock).
So basically HM want's of YM to let them rehost shitload of series and they in return will let you host only 2 of their? Along with using raws? This seems kinda retarded...

Also one question for both groups, do you censor your releases (like removing dicks and like)?

I don't know how long yomanga waited when they "stole" other groups' projects, but a month isn't that long, unless you're on your deathbed. I say common courtesy is 3 months.

But heymanga admitted they rehost yomanga scans, they really have no right to complain about yomanga rehosting theirs. Credit or no credit, if leguron doesn't want his stuff on your site, and you still do it despite his request. He doesn't have to listen to you rehosting your stuff. Because like your argument, mangafox and other aggregator sites do it too so why attack the little guy*.

*you both are small in comparison to MF and other aggregator sites.

For Mangaupdates though, this is a good measure to not be involved if these groups are alerting you that they "released" something that isn't theirs. And I don't mean the copyrights, the scanlation*****

It kind of reminds me of Easy Going Scans vs Manga Pirates. They were fighting over series and there was lot of ranting on speed vs quality. I guess at least they weren't stealing credits from each other

Wow... I'm amazed. Given that the whole premise of fansubs or scanlations is loosely based on piracy with some good intention of bringing content to a different market (I have been a member of fansub groups for anime, so I speak from personal experience), this whole conversation was painful to read. I feel for both parties in some ways, but also resent the animosity. There is already enough divisiveness and bitterness in the world, and most of us go to manga/anime as an escape from the doldrums of this reality, so seeing this kind of acidic banter leaves me feeling disappointed.

TLDR: The real people who are suffering from this fight are the fans like myself, who can no longer keep track of the series they were reading from YM (and/or HM) because the main group releasing the series they were reading isn't allowed to report their releases here anymore. Now, I can't even look at my reading list to see if there was a new chapter released for my series and that sucks salty pirate balls.

Aren't you guys going overboard. Have a friendly competition where speed and quality is the key. Who really cares if it is hosted here and there. Off course removing the credit page is wrong but think of constructive way to beat them. If the publishers get wind of this feud and get serious both will be shut down and whoever else is translating those publishers releases.

What is it with people copying others stuff without permission that they get so offended when other people copy their stuff without permission? I'll never understand that.
