Plot/Story
Manaka Junpei is the typical shounen protagonist. He has an interest in filmmaking and someday wants to join the film club at Izumisaki High School. One day he walks up to his school's roof and a young girl falls from above on top of him. Almost immediately he sees this girls strawberry panties. Not getting a clear look at her face, he supposedly immediately falls in love. The next few chapters concern him and his attempted search for the girl with strawberry panties. Some of the girls he meets along the way are Toujou Aya, a homely looking girl who is intelligent and has an interest in novelistic writing; Nishino Tsusuka, a beautiful young girl with movie star looks and isn't very good at cooking; Kataooji Satsuki, a seemingly hotheaded girl who's been hinted to hold deep personality secrets; and many more. The plot continues with love triangles and typical shounen romance.

Personal Thoughts
The thing that immediately hit me is the similarities between this manga and KOR, (Kimagure Orange Road). The main characters are both indecisive enough to be somewhat of playboys, and the girls always play along with it. That is something that I personally have grown to hate, so I think I'll be limiting my shounen in the future. The manga is definitly fun tho, so I would definitly recommend it.

Characters
The characters didn't seem to be too greatly developed initially. They don't have too much backstory to go along with them. However, some characters do grow throughout the series and become stronger. They usually do a lot of hinting to future situations.

Drawing Style
Excellent. It was very easy to make out the text from the translations I read, and the pictures were very standard. Placement and flow was also well thought out.

Enjoyment
I'm not typically a shounen guy, but I would have to say that I'm having fun with this series. I've, however, only just begun (chapter 41). My opinions of this series might change in the future, but I've always found myself looking towards the next chapter.

Overall
I would have to say that overall there are some things that I don't like-- for instance the small chapters versus other mangas. I'm also not sure about the length of this particular manga-- I'll have to read more before I see if it is justified. As of now it just seems like another shounen romance... but who knows, it could generate into something more. I think that it has a lot of potential, and as this manga has been called the manga that 'makes you want to go back to high school again', I'm sure that it will get even more interesting in future volumes. Well there you have it; I'm going back to reading more Ichigo 100%! Later!

I liked the ending, or as it is the main character Aya Toujou by misahayase on March 14th, 2012, 9:10am

I like Toujou, but I did not like the spoiled, as it is, half of the sleeve on. She is good at drawing girls. But guys do not talk, has no imagination, always the same personalities, and drawing many Manakas ha ha ha. Ichigo 100% promised much but I was disappointed.

This manga was amazing. I just finished it and was almost speechless with joy after reading the ending. I liked almost all the characters (except for Chinami). However I do understand that she was a good person for comedic effect and also for Komiyama's sake. I would have given this a 4.8 if Satsuki did not turn into a stupid slut as the manga progressed. Yes it was funny but it ruined the love triangle and hurt the story. I began hate her as a character which was a shame because when she was first introduced she was my favorite female character. Nishino on the other hand was amazing, pulling and pushing Manaka towards her was interesting and cute. She was open, kind, thoughtful and the aggressive kind of girl Manaka needed. Toujou was great as well but she relied on Manaka too much and he relied on her too much. They needed to separate to reach their full potential. Oh and Yes I really like Nishino she is by far my favorite female character I was cheering for her the whole time while reading so if you hated her ( and I cant imagine why you would ) please tell me why cause I just do not understand.

OK for all you haters who think this was just a pseudoporno this is what mizuki was going for. This manga is about the inner conflicts everyone faces at one point in their life. It examined three types of relationships the generic guy asks girl out, the guy falls in love with girl never tells her while she secretly loves him and the girl falls deeply and openly in love with friend who happens to be a guy. This manga is about how people deal with love and it was from three very unqiue and age fitting perspectives. Perhaps is was over the top at points but it is also a COMEDY so get that into your thick skulls. It was funny at times but the emotional times really were there and I still have a place in my heart for all of the characters and I understand where manaka is coming from through out the manga.

Anyways thats all I have to say. I liked this manga so I agree with the review. It kept me interested and the story went the way i was dreaming it would so yes it was amazing please read this manga.

Wow.
Unbelievable experience

Just finished reading, it’s 2 o’clock in the night and for the last two days I’ve done nothing else but reading.
I’m 26, and I did feel uneasy whenever my fiance was around due to all exposed body parts and such, but really, I can’t remember last time when I was so moved!

I am a worshiper of Berserk, but Ichigo stole my heart and left me feeling more alive then I was for the last ten years.

Mizuki Kawashita is a truly great artist. Thank you. Maybe one day I’ll be able to thank him personally.

P.S. Anime sucks big time (maybe it's not as abominable as Berserk anime, but still), and sorry, I was totally taken by that manga. What I initally thought would be good read to food with a bit of young girls have twisted my heart and reminded me what it's like to be young.
To me, it's a masterpiece ^^

Good story with unique end by Haiyeth on February 7th, 2008, 9:29am

The story was pretty good and it did drag in some places. I do feel the characters could have been done better in some cases (namely Satsuki). But the ending is not what you would expect as it is not seen too often in manga (at least not the ones I've read). However if you are looking for nothing but a romantic comedy then be careful with Ichigo 100% as it gets very dramatic in the second half of the series.
