Plot/Story
Train Heartnet is a bounty hunter. He and his partner Sven Vollfied wander around, capturing criminals while consistently going hungry. (Sounds familiar, eh?) However Train's dark past as an elite assassin catches up with him, and forces him into a war between his former employers -- the shadowy organization of Chronos -- and the Apostles of the Stars led by his mortal enemy Creed, the man who killed the woman he loved.

Characters
Aside from Train and Sven, many other characters populate the saga. Eve is a young girl infused with nanomachines, which give her the power to transform, and Rinslett is a master catburglar(ess). The opposing groups of the Chronos Numbers and the Apostles of the Stars contain a wide variety of personalities and abilities.

Drawing Style
Black Cat is drawn in a very clean and polished style.

Enjoyment/Overall
Though Black Cat seems rather conventional in approach, the settings and characters provide enough innovations to keep my interest. I've greatly enjoyed reading Black Cat.

its an awesome manga. everything about it is awesome. but i have a little concern... is it just me or is the plot horrifically similar to "Rurouni Kenshin", the characters similar to "Naruto" and idea similar to "Trigun"?
not that its bad, and it'll be embarassing for me if the author of those 3 is the one who did this one... but anyways... this isn't too original, but its fun.

I agree with the sum of this review. However I feel I must add that while this series may, to some, look like your average action series, it is far from the standard series.
The character interaction is always wonderful to see, and every chapter is enjoyable. The series is drawn very vibrantly, and you can easily immerse yourself in it.
Great series overall, and I believe it has something that everyone can find themselves enjoying.
