Plot/Story Priest is a dark action psychological manhwa about a man by the name of Ivan Issacs who takes it upon himself to rid the world of of evil brought about by the fallen angel Temozarela and his servants. Ivan Issacs a fallen priest who fell for the ways of the heretics sold half his soul to the devil Belial in order to gain the power which is fulled by his anger and hatred towards Temozarela. The plot is pretty controversial and very deep in the message that it portrays and if you are a very strong catholic this might not be for you.
Characters Most of the characters are middle aged men, some you will hate and others you will love but they are all very well done that you will understand each characters strain of thought and their standing within the story. the story jumps around quite a lot so there are some characters that will make an appearance but won't appear again until 2 or three volumes later so some of the characters feel underdeveloped.
Drawing Style The art is very original and Hyung Min-woo uses a lot of straight lines but manages to get great details. The art is some thing that you will either love or hate. but the first 2 volume are brilliant because this is where quite a lot of the action appear and this is where you either get used to the art or not.
Enjoyment With the time period in history that this story is based on many things happens, some are very offensive and Priest sheds light on them without remorse but there are still moment where you could just smile. it's very enjoyable but it's still a manga that requires a lot of patience and curiosity to follow through. There are some philosophical issues that are brought up but they don't dominate so you get some food for thought for those who like it.
Overall Overall, this is one of the best manhwa's I've ever read and hyung Min-Woo does a great job bringing some of the dark things in history to life, he's a great author and artist and this manga is up there with some of the best psychological and action manhwa's out there. I really enjoyed it and i highly recommend it and i hope it comes of hiatus soon.
