All three of my kids spent the night with their grandparents, which hasn't happened for....a year or so, I think... eyes

Not that I did anything interesting, but it was nice to just be by myself without having to take care of anyone else. laugh ...

Bump

Nope, never. I am fairly healthy. Even when I had amnesia I was always jumping and playing about.

I'm guessing that you mean "anemia" rather than "amnesia". laugh

Haven't fainted since the time I gav ...
glasses/contacts

So many people scared of contacts! no

Everyone's different, but I wore soft contacts for 25+ years & never had a serious problem.

The worst I had to deal with was getting pinkeye from my kids, & that just meant wearing glasses for a few days & ...

#2 I splurged & bought myself a pair of hockey skates, so I can skate with my youngest son (age 6). He assures me that he'll teach me to ...

Watching my 6-year-old at the Indoor Track & Field Night tonight. All the enthusiasm in the world (which he has) isn't going to get someone that short over hurdles that high! laugh

Piercings
(264 posts, 14577 views) Posted: 74d 15h, 9m ago by TofuQueen in Chatter Box
"Professional" to me has always meant getting ears pierced at a store or something and NOT by a friend at a slumber party. laugh Technically the real "professionals" are probably those who do all sorts of piercings and use the needle, but for ...

Harlequin: Why do they keep ending happily? [Might be spoilers]
(2 posts, 167 views) Posted: 88d 18h, 57m ago by TofuQueen in Chatter Box
Yep. I read a bunch of Harlequins in Jr. High, and they are always, ALWAYS happy endings for the main characters...which wouldn't bother me if the happiness was a bit more realistic, but often (always??) it's pretty last minute & contrived. Have ...

Wedding Engagements
(14 posts, 498 views) Posted: 94d 14h, 27m ago by TofuQueen in Chatter Box
I've really never thought much about engagements. I guess I always figured the engagement period was for planning not only the wedding, but also the married life - finding a place to live together, meeting each other's relatives, talking seriously about ...

This is going to sound very cliche but I hate when those bastids don't put the toilet seat down or pee all over it. D:<

I live with two guys and it's like they will never learn.

Distinguishing Twins
(7 posts, 369 views) Posted: 96d 7h, 36m ago by TofuQueen in Chatter Box
In my experience...my twin sons are 18 years old now...a lot of it depends on attitude. Some people meet them & are determined that they WILL find a way to tell them apart, and they can. Other people meet them & have already decided that since they' ...
How would you prefer to be disposed of?
(17 posts, 695 views) Posted: 101d 22h, 9m ago by TofuQueen in Chatter Box
Organ & tissue donation, as much as possible - help the living.

Then either cremation & scattering of ashes, or burial WITHOUT any nasty chemicals, whichever my survivors prefer (and can afford...no idea what either would cost). ...
Memory
(10 posts, 433 views) Posted: 102d 13h, 8m ago by TofuQueen in Chatter Box
My memory is weird. none

I can remember the artist & title of most 80s-early 90s songs, but if I don't take a list to the grocery store I'll probably forget half the things I planned to buy.

If I've physically done something several times - like knitting, o ...

School Uniforms!
(57 posts, 3359 views) Posted: 110d 12h, 45m ago by TofuQueen in Chatter Box

Which side of the bed do you sleep on?
(33 posts, 1395 views) Posted: 110d 12h, 55m ago by TofuQueen in Chatter Box
I really don't care which part of the bed I sleep on...I prefer not to sleep on the wall side if I'm sharing with someone because I'm not very good at getting out (to use the toilet or whatever) without waking them up, but since I rarely wake up in the n ...

(21 posts, 926 views) Posted: 110d 15h, 6m ago by TofuQueen in Chatter Box
Well, I try to only shop once per week, and I make a list and (mostly) stick to it. <sigh>

I think I need to really try to use up the food in the house & buy as little as possible for a while. But when every list starts with "3 gallons of milk", a $10 shoppin ...

Laundry
(13 posts, 464 views) Posted: 117d 2h, 54m ago by TofuQueen in Chatter Box
I do all the laundry at our house (me plus three kids, 18, 18, 6).

I've been doing (or helping with) laundry since I was little (4? 5? can't remember), and I don't really mind it.

I use a washer and dryer in the winter, but in warm weather I line-dry as much ...
