You can try Septerra Core and maybe Salvation Prophecy. Both are for PC, but I found both a bit slow to play. ...

Novel with strong and cool main male protagonist
(8 posts, 494 views) Posted: 62d 23h, 49m ago by Reiten in I'm Looking For...
Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica might fit if the hero in the novel is similar to the anime version. Sadly I haven't seen a translation of this one yet. ...
A question for atheists

What does it mean for something to be benificial to you?

Not sure how to answer this with a short replay so I'll stick to the definition - whatever helps to maintain or improve my livelihood.
I'll also give 2 examples of my thought on what is and isn' ...
A question for atheists
(100 posts, 6002 views) Posted: 287d 23h, 48m ago by Reiten in Chatter Box
Not sure if I count as an atheist. Since atheist think god doesn't exist(correct me if I'm wrong) and I simply don't care whatever one exists or not.

Good and bad are simply terms that we humans thought up and as asmageddon said they aren' ...
computer dyi project
(4 posts, 192 views) Posted: 306d 10h, 57m ago by Reiten in Chatter Box
Generally what lambchopsil said. Better to just get a new PC then messing with upgrades especially if the only experience you have with assembling and replacing parts has been in a classroom environment.

If you're dead set on trying to assemble a PC on ...

(13 posts, 701 views) Posted: 311d 5h, 30m ago by Reiten in Games
For the PS2:
-Shin Megami Tensei series a try. That is Nocturne, Devil Summoner, Digital Devil Saga and Persona
-The Dot Hack series.
-Might give the Disgaea games a try if you like SRPG.
-Grandia 2, 3 and Extreme
-Wild Arms series(just make sure you play 4 befo ...
Do light novels have better stories than manga?
(18 posts, 2138 views) Posted: 313d 0h, 39m ago by Reiten in Manga General
Right Blique did sum it up quite well.

Another thing about light novels is that they tend to tell the story in greater detail. You can get more story in 1 page of text then you can in a drawing. On the other hand battles and stuff that is action heavy usually works better in ma ...
What do people do in there free time?
(82 posts, 3944 views) Posted: 327d 11h, 12m ago by Reiten in Chatter Box
Not necessarily in this order, but:
Anime and manga.
Video games.
A good book now and then.
Studying, researching and fiddling around with stuff that interests me(mostly robotics, AI and game development).
...
Have you ever been fired? How did you recover?
(14 posts, 773 views) Posted: 338d 11h, 40m ago by Reiten in Chatter Box
Lost my job twice. The first time I was simply fired because they were reducing the number of workers. The second time I resigned myself because I had messed up. Luckily not seriously enough to be fired, but my superior said it would probably be better to resign ...
If you could find out one thing about your future, what would it be?
(189 posts, 9879 views) Posted: 353d 10h, 25m ago by Reiten in Chatter Box
I'll take next weeks lottery numbers or something else that will get me a load of cash.

The reasoning is simple:
1) If we assume that we hear a future where the prediction doesn't exist then the moment we hear the prediction there is a high chance that ...
Book that made you love reading
(50 posts, 2296 views) Posted: 379d 8h, 20m ago by Reiten in Chatter Box
The book that got me reading was probably the Sherlock Holmes series. Thanks to the literature lessons at school I had the misconception that literature consisted of poetry, which had no entertaining value to me, kids story's, that had lost it's value at ...

(33 posts, 3576 views) Posted: 383d 11h, 31m ago by Reiten in I'm Looking For...
Maybe it's RealPG. They aren't trapped in a VR, but the game is recreated in the real world. ...
Looking for.. with vempire

You might like Record of Fallen Vampire. Though it doesn't have blood sucking and some of the other things you were asking for it's still a good vampire story. ...
Pokemon, childish or not?

If you like Pokemon, have at it! You've only got one life to live, so enjoy what you enjoy. It's not hurting anyone

+1 to this.

One year during university some of us in the dorms played the pokemon games and competed to see who could get a stron ...
Antipiracy going overboard?
(44 posts, 3568 views) Posted: 409d 2h, 47m ago by Reiten in Chatter Box
Well that still doesn't convince me and I probably won't change my mind until I see the game, but we are getting somewhat off topic.
The main thing I want to say: You are seriously underestimating the difficulty of game development. ...

You know one programmer can actually make a 3d game provided that he/she has the graphic pictures of parts without an actual animator. There is an actual college course that teaches this and its just so happenes one of my friends took this course and ...
Antipiracy going overboard?
(44 posts, 3568 views) Posted: 409d 6h, 46m ago by Reiten in Chatter Box
I have to agree with RS456 to some extent. The game industry has become somewhat greedy. I know first hand that game development is expensive, but when a game cost 1/4 of the hardware necessary to play the game then something is wrong. It feels like the ...
The ending [spoilers obviously]
(9 posts, 1135 views) Posted: 410d 22h, 42m ago by Reiten in Superior Cross
That's why the ending wasn't good either smile. It was just a simple ending. Didn't wrap up everything nicely like Fullmetal Alchemist for example, but it didn't leave any open ends either. ...
The ending [spoilers obviously]
(9 posts, 1135 views) Posted: 410d 23h, 34m ago by Reiten in Superior Cross
Well it wasn't a bad ending, but it wasn't good either. Somehow felt kind of lacking, It seemed rushed, like the author wanted to simply end the story and didn't want to put in very much effort to do it.
Ending aside Superior was a good enough read. ...
