The Curious Case of Ichigo 100% and Sket Dance
(8 posts, 1502 views) Posted: 663d 21h, 13m ago by Maxy B in Shounen/Seinen
I prefer Sket Dance to Gintama because it's more relatable in location (natch), and I"S to Strawberry 100% because I couldn't even finish one volume of the latter. I wouldn't bother calling Strawberry/I"S parallels like Sket and Gintam ...
Longest Running Shonen Jump romances?
(13 posts, 2071 views) Posted: 715d 7h, 5m ago by Maxy B in Shounen/Seinen
um, on Nisekoi's profanity, that's a matter of debate. The debate being that imperial scans adds the profanity themselves, and apparently other translators aren't fond of that at all. ...
When did you lose your virginity?
(743 posts, 87693 views) Posted: 715d 22h, 39m ago by Maxy B in Adult (18+)
lost it at 17. Nothing fancy, just found someone where we both excited the hell out of each other and couldn't stop ourselves.

Virginity though, for real, really unimportant. I mean you can lose that ish and have a dry patch and be as inexperienced as a virgin, o ...
Longest Running Shonen Jump romances?

I think you're onto something. Although I'd contest it by saying that most failures are ecchi romance, and they've had a long-running reputation of not getting votes in the TOC due to a combination of Japan's shame society and kids gene ...

Longest Running Shonen Jump romances?
(13 posts, 2071 views) Posted: 716d 3h, 54m ago by Maxy B in Shounen/Seinen
Well neither of those are Shonen Jump, so they're not overly relevant, but yeah, Suzuka lasted 18 volumes, matching Kimagure Orange Road but falling short of Strawberry 100%, and A Town Where You Live is at, what, like 20 volumes now? So that' ...
Longest Running Shonen Jump romances?
(13 posts, 2071 views) Posted: 716d 4h, 22m ago by Maxy B in Shounen/Seinen
Wow, that's pretty impressive. if it's next chapter that's like 156 isn't it?

I mean that's not a Shonen Jump manga, and I don't know how long Magazine romances tend to last, but... oh god that's about three years. WHAT ...
Mental Illness

I have a long-term mental illness, being an Anxiety Disorder and Severe Depression, although both are very much background elements nowadays. Most of what I've learnt's been from doctors and friends who suffer similar ailments (depression mor ...

Longest Running Shonen Jump romances?

I think the closest anything gets to Strawberry 100%'s length is Kimagure Orange Road, which was about one volume shorter, I do believe.

Seems like by and large romance series don't last much longer than three years in Weekly Shonen Jump thoug ...
Your first manga/anime
(774 posts, 72407 views) Posted: 716d 4h, 54m ago by Maxy B in Manga General
First anime was either Dragon Ball Z or Pokémon. Could have even been Tenchi muyo actually. One of those ones from that 90s boom, to be sure.

First manga? Shaman King. got it for my 14th birthday. Saved my life, if you'll pardon the ridiculous sta ...

1. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - Now c'mon this belongs on just about anyone's list. It's just about the most perfect horror and action series, with great art and ideas up the wazoo
2. Stop!! Hibari-kun! - One I' ...
