- Anything that screams shōjo is a total turn off (stars and bubbles apearing out of nowere, hair that defies the laws of gravity etc.) (see: Sailor moon)

- Female characters (esp. main) that are meant to be moe, but are really just ditsy and absol ...

My first anime was definitely Pokemon, because I grew up with it. A while ago, I rewatched Pokemon and Digimon, and started looking for other anime. So probably the first anime that I "discovered" was Neon Genesis Evangelion, and then I was hooked ...

I'm not big into hentai/ecchi manga, but on a whim I read Koi Wa Misoji Wo Sugite Kara, and it was cute and had a proper plot (definitely wasn't pwp) with sex scenes that weren't overly graphic or fetish-y. ...
