New Poll - RPG Class
(43 posts, 1137 views) Posted: 31d 7h, 38m ago by Joentjuh in News
I try to rotate, but it depends on the gameplay, possibilities, and available class actions.
I usually prefer something along the lines of battle-mage though... Yay for overkill AoE spells, yet still being able to dally about on the frontlines ^.^ (poking critters with a stick).

Sadly ...
New Poll - Demographic Hate
(156 posts, 5867 views) Posted: 81d 9h, 22m ago by Joentjuh in News
Shounen-ai (and thus also Yaoi), not that I dislike that particular genre, but I dislike the 'culture' that surrounds it. The constant need for stereotyping everything, rarely have I read a shounen-ai manga where the two leading characters are actually ' ...
New Poll - Non-Manga Reading
(23 posts, 999 views) Posted: 129d 15h, 2m ago by Joentjuh in News
Used to read about as much manga as I read novels... That all changed when I bought an eReader and (later) discovered fanfiction ^.^
Now I've fallen so far behind on many anime and manga that I'm not sure if I'll even bother catching up (if I ha ...

Gender: Neither (I simply am, don't really identify with either male or female)
Sex: Male
Age: 25
Country/Continent: Netherlands/Europe
Race: Human
Main Personality Traits: Stubborn, Perfectionist, Minimalist, and 'somewhat' anti-Social
IQ: I' ...

I've had this thought for a while no (but no ambition to actually act upon it), but wouldn't it be nice if there was an 'interactive' Manga reader/editor.

Think the way you watch movies, there are separate tracks for audio, video, and subtitles. ...
What TV Shows Do You Watch?
(207 posts, 13566 views) Posted: 201d 17h, 20m ago by Joentjuh in Chatter Box
- QI
- Top Gear (though couldn't care less about the cars bigrazz )
Both shows are British

And that's about it. I'm underwhelmed with what catches my attention when browsing the web (rarely watch a series beyond the second episode). I'd much ...
Good mangas that deal with taboos

Quote from TaoPaiPai
male 10yo thingking about sex with his hot teacher = normal
girl 10yo thinking about sex with her hot teacher = sick and gets easily turned into a discussion about pedophilia

... Just, no.
Neither situation is normal, or should be.

I can sort of understa ...

IS - Otoko demo Onna demo Nai Sei, at least in my opinion. Not that it taught me anything new (in fact, I was under the impression that it was even MORE common than indicated), but it brought the issue into focus and made me think, realising that the situation where I ...
Longest Playing Time
(11 posts, 449 views) Posted: 232d 14h, 18m ago by Joentjuh in Games
Single sitting: ±32 hours SW-KotOR (start to finish, highest difficulty)
I don't think I'll be braking that record anytime soon... Playing 10 hours straight has already become quite tiring for me (and that is if I can find the time).

Most hours spent playing a ...
Human changes into monster and sides with them
(23 posts, 2661 views) Posted: 233d 12h, 58m ago by Joentjuh in I'm Looking For...
I'll have to disagree with Nausicaä.
She neither becomes a monster or sides with "monsters". She simply is/becomes a force of balance, on the side of life.
There definitely is a heavy moral lesson in there (if you're interested), and it' ...
It's definitely Yuri.
(5 posts, 513 views) Posted: 239d 9h, 22m ago by Joentjuh in Candy (SUZUKI Yufuko)
Actually, I don't quite see the point of two separate "lesbian" genres at all.

Shoujo-ai is supposedly the base genre for lesbian romance, subtext, and annoyingly often even just for side characters with (minor) lesbian tendencies.
Yuri is shoujo-ai to ...
Reading manga on Mobile Phone
(26 posts, 2343 views) Posted: 239d 16h, 17m ago by Joentjuh in Manga General
Since I often find even my 15" laptop screen too small, I sincerely doubt I'd be able to get used to, much less enjoy, reading manga on a 10" or smaller tablet.
I don't like having to zoom or scroll, and prefer to read in double-page mode... Som ...

Hex-a-hop... until it became too difficult,
then Torchlight 2... but it's repetitive, boring, and a colossal waste of time. Sadly, also highly addictive bigrazz

/me wants LEGO LotR ^.^ ...

Oddly enough I get the correct page when I wget it, or use ye olde console webbrowser (e)Links.

homosexual marriage

You seem to have a few jumps in your logic:

Believing in (a) God and being pro homosexual marriage (or at least not against it), is not mutually exclusive. Or are you saying that believers can have no opinions of their own?
Also, omnipotence != perfection. The God ...

I'm not sure how things are in Australia, nor do I know what current stance the general populace takes on that subject (in Australia), but I can say that it's been allowed for years, to such a degree that it no longer raises many heads, where I live (Neth ...

There might be some resemblance in anime like Utawarerumono, Escaflowne, Saiunkoku Monogatari, Guin Saga, and probably Jyu-Oh-Sei!

I'm sorry to say, but there really is nothing that comes even close to The Twelve Kingdoms.
I've looked and queried, but despite it's popularity the novels are discontinued, the anime is sort of dropped (and no mention of it ever seeing a second s ...
