its the typical stockholm syndrome. The art have a potential but the story its not really good. i mean reading it, all i can think of is the uke is stupid and that made me think that why mangakas always do the "seme forceful and uke got carried away stuff" its not that great.

If you like someone, force yourself on him, talking about it instead is so has-been !
Also, don't you worry, rape is just consensual sex, that the partner isn't aware he actually wishes for, so he will probably forgive all of it in the end.

... Yeah, right.

i usually don't rate mangas below a 5, but i just can't enjoy this manga..... there was no point in this manga for it didn't explain any questions i had while i was reading, it jumps from here to there, and that it's really confusing...
i can't believe that i actually finished it too!!! i wasted my time, ugh!!!

i never thought i will dislike a manga so much and to end it, it was a yaoi too!!! sad

The art wasn't as good as I expected from the cover art. The story translation was a bit awkard, and the story itself not developed well. That's pretty much the gist of it.

By all means, read this one, but there are other pieces that are far superior.

The scanlation translation is a bit awkward at times, but basically understandable. The art work is sketchy and mediocre, occasionally awkward.

This story was simple and straightforward, with no real plot surprises, twists or intrigues. I don't have a problem with simple stories, in fact, sometimes they can be useful as tools so as to not distract from incredible phraseology or moments of beautiful art, or even to emphasize one single moment of insight into relationships. This was not one of those times.

It did keep me reading though, from the first chapter to the last, nothing forced at all about that. So, it wasn't boring. By less than half way through, I was reading it very quickly and not really thinking too hard or studying the pictures too long, just wanting to know the ending out of general light curiosity..

If you like the sort of story where the character that is abused, realizes that the abuser is hurt, or angry, or dealing with their own frustrations and all those other angsty emotions, and trying to express love in a convoluted way, (Yes, fantasy, dark, non-con) I'd recommend other pieces, before reading this one. (But do read it -eventually, even if just to reinforce your ability to contrast with other works and analyze what appeals to yourself.)

Here's three with that vein of pure obsidian running through them:
Really twisted and dark? Aigan Shounen by Shin Mizukami is brilliant in psychology and art.
Similar in level to story and emotion to what the above story was trying to do but with better art and wording? Forbidden Toy by CJ Michalski.
Minimalism art that takes your breath away with a story that is full of intrigue? Gerard to Jacques by Fumi Yoshinaga.

I loath this sort of manga. It trivialises rape and treats it merely as a convenient plot device without any sort of accurate representation.
And the art is bad too, so no redeeming features at atll.
Don't buy/download/read, you'd be better off watching paint dry.
This certainly isn't worth paper or harddrive space.

i think the way they unconditionally are drawn to each other kind of cute...ok, unconditionally in the uke's part =P~ it's not that he's pitiful, i think it's just that he actually likes the seme somewhat =3
anyways, a bit ansty, nothing really funny, uh....just your average yaoi manga ^^;~ good for a nice light read =P nothing that'll hook you on too bad though ^^;
oh, but the ending is really sweet though =3

this could be good with that setup, but unfortunately as of chapter 2 it's not. miyano is pitiful in letting himself be forced quite so easily, and his dialogue is insipid -- "am i your toy that you treat me so" is repeated way too frequently; surely as a doctor he should have a larger vocabulary to protest? also, the translation is unnatural and full of errors; blissful sin needs a literate english speaker as proof reader. we'll see how it goes on; i hope it won't be as dreadfully predictable as i see it right now.

[2011-04-20] i let this one sit for several years, but unlike wine, it did not improve. if anything, i am less likely to say anything nice about crappy BL these days. and that's what this is; substandard BL. it's not that i can never stand rape in a story; i can. but definitely not as it is done here. it's never made clear exactly why takashima got so pissed at miyano when they were younger. also, what sort of an emotionally stunted person is he that he never even tries to, you know, woo his "love"? not even a tiny attempt; it's all force. and of course miyano comes to like it, *retch*. i can buy this sort of hurt/comfort setup if there is something likeable in the rapist, and if he was really wronged. but here i am not buying; i ended up disliking both characters. and does agawa at least redeem takashima the jerk in the end, by having him break down in tears and confess and apologise or something, anything that might show he has learned something? nope. miyano has to rescue the relationship all on his own. *double retch*.
