one of those rare mangas that keeps me interested. man the latest chapter 113, seriously blew me away.
anywho, i feel like the story itself is coming to an end. maybe not anytime soon since only one chapter comes out per month >.<

Just when we all thought Miria was dead, it turns out she somehow changed the hearts of the other claymores and they all turned against the organization.

the art is simply stunning, its really good the expresionless mask the claymore have is annoying since well its expressionless . . . but none the less the art is detailed.
the story on the other hand is your usual shounen cliché parade one after another, but its still not that bad so i recommend it anyway

I admit the The beginning (first few volumes) were kind of dull, it didnt "hooked" me in as much as I would like. But as the story progressed I could not keep my excitement down at all. The story develops into this masterpiece that keeps you wanting more. Good character development and all. The art is good as well. Love how there is a 2 saga!!!
As I enjoyed the anime, the manga is so much better in comparison, especially when the anime had a rushed alternative ending that did not fill my satisfaction. I really would like to see a remake of claymore anime.

From the start...i really liked it and was looking forward to reading new chapter...but now... I just kinda lost it... I mean, this part is uninteresting for me. No Clare. No that-boy-following-her-around (over the time I even forgot his name...) and... talk talk talk fight talk about something.... Maybe if I read these last chapters once again and at once... but I don't really feel like it (Because of what I've read.)
Before, I'd have rated it 10... but now...

I don't think I much like the direction it's taking, but maybe I'm just worn out from reading it all day. In any case, it's very good and well worth reading.
There is nothing wrong with the start - I like how it builds from fairly humble beginnings to something much larger over time - although I'm a bit worried that it's getting large to the point that each battle has to take up a lot of chapters, and while that's fine reading it all at once I'm not sure I have the patience for that following it as it's released.

The beginning was pretty slow, I couldn't tell characters apart unless they had different hairstyles, the main character is so one-dimensional its sad, only one male character I can relate to who only appears intermittently later on and my favorite characters are dying left and right. But these can't stop me from saying that this is an amazing manga.
The art in later chapters gets amazing and if you can hang on until the revelation of what really is going on in the world of Claymore the story is phenomenal. Now I'm addicted and there's no turning back.

i think in terms of story quality vinland saga would be closer to berserk than claymore. but even berserk degraded once gatts started to like, go on that classical animay adventure with some mahou shoujo and stuff way later on, and it became way less dark. i liked berserk because it WAS dark though =(.
i really like this series anyway. plus the drawings are fantastic.

Well, the history was going so goddamn good till the last few releases that I was almost thinking it would be the stuff closest to berserk that I would ever lay my hands on, but now, I think I'll be dissapointed in the future.... just a guess.
But... well.... I just hope that the power scale of the characters dont become something nonsense like bleach or dbz.
Despite of that, the history IS worth-reading.

-Incoherency
There are too many things going on in the story at the same time, and the author's poor transitions doesn't help the fact that it's a monthly release.
-Characters
I hope the posts complimenting the so called character development are joking, because there is little to none. The main character has about as dull a personality as you can get. Also, saying that every character has a unique past is an exaggeration. Everyone one of them have a very slight nuance that distinguishes them from the mold at best. The claymores are almost unrecognizable from each other at times, but that's what happens when you have to create 50+ characters with identical clothing, hair color, skin tone, and figure.
The mangaka also seems to have very little respect for the characters, as many are given unceremonious deaths. I'm all for killing off characters that are past their usage, but when all of your favorite characters are thrown away like trash on a consistent basis, it becomes annoying.
-Art
Starts off poor, but becomes stunning later on. The larger than life monsters remind me very much of Gantz (very different mangas though).
-Story
Starts off mediocre, but becomes brilliant later on, ignoring the incoherency. Nothing like Berserk, for those who mentioned it.
-Slow Start
It's not unbearable, but to say the quality of the early volumes is in the same league as that of later ones is a blatant lie.
Edit: And yes, I have read up to the latest chapter.
