Absolutely wholesome, a rear shoujo manga with no love triangles, stupid misunderstandings or the usual tropes you see in the genre

As I said on the title. Hatsu haru is one of the rear shoujo romance with wholesome romance and more then that the friendship it shows between the two genders with their respective groups. It is hilarious, sometimes a bit sad and most importantly very cute. There are times you do see drama but it is so less and rear that you won't be boiling yourself and be in angst. If you are looking for a good romance and friendship unlike any other then you have come to the right place.

I didn't really like this one. I think it's more the type of plot than anything else. I generally dislike the whole 'hot guy in love with girl that hates him' trope, but add her unrequited love for someone else, and I hate it all the more. Reading about someone being treated like shit by the person they like in shoujo pisses me off.

Shallow

I really liked the premise of the story but sadly the characters arent doing anything for me. Sure they have personalities that I usually love reading about but their motivations and actions are so shallow and after reading Hirunaka no Ryuusei I really expected more from the mangaka. There is also a very fast pacing and development that just adds to how shallow everything really is at the end. Sorry I keep using the word shallow. For me its just the best way to describe it.

Picked it up expecting it to be boring and dull, but the dialogues and the male point of view made me grin from tooth to tooth. The girl's wonderful as well. It's like Hirunaka no ryuusei with male point of view, which makes it all the more better. I am team ichinose by the way. I love his sassiness <3

It is even real? It's SOOO good. It's everything I've ever been looking for in a shoujo romance! It's light and refreshing, not soaked in melodrama, art is cute but clean, female lead kicks ass but that's not her defining characteristic and the male lead... well let's just admire this title for making him the protagonist for once!!!
It's a bit like "Otona Pink" in reverse from the male lead's point of view.

I won't be greedy and say I want an anime version of this already of 18 volumes of their entire high school life charted out day by day, but I'm definitely wishing and praying that this goes on serialisation for at least a couple of volumes!

PS I don't want to spoil anything for folks since it's just one chapter out, but the straightforwardness of the two leads, the humor in the dialogues and the amusing direction of the story are not to be missed! You'll love how this heroine isn't over the top in any regard, but puts the hero and his inflated sense of princely self into his place over and over!
PPS I couldn't resist gushing even though I've barely read 2/3 of chapter 1 while I'm writing this down!

Edit (after half a yr and chapter 2!_ GROWL. Gimme him! The male lead cannot be more desirable... well he can, but he would have to moon over his unrequited feelings more intensely and then do a couple of those passionate reflex moves like cornering the heroine and forcing her to look at him in a more-than-friends light. Aaagh! I melt.
