this manga has all the ingredients to be a really good dramatic shoujo
it's perfect for people who are entering manga's world
the story is quite real.....a little too exaggerated to be slice of life

This is not just a light romance, but a serious psychological manga. If you loved Kare Kano, this is a must read. The depth of their relationship is amazing, including their painful pasts, struggles with life and absolute agony. This one is a heart-cruncher by definition. It is a reality check, really, as it shows an imperfect relationship that sticks together despite the flaws. The characters grow in this manga, so if you do not like the first few chapters, carry on with reading it.

This manga is very dramatic, it's silly. To crush someone's fingers with a dumbell or threaten to kill a person for a crush? Wow, it's so stupid it's unbelievable. I stopped after chapter 1 because I have a feeling the rest will be just as dramatic. The main characters don't ever really have a proper conversation, like a good one, it's not really developed. Kind of like they just randomly talked, and love eachother. Wtf.

love the plot. the art is phenomenal. the feeling is all dramatic. but that's what threw me off. i don't like dramatic feel. i want to feel the excitement, the laughter. the joy. but i felt too much heavy tension and some of the characters are just unbelievable. though i would admire kira and rei, i wouldn't say i want to be them.

i might be crazy for saying this but i didnt like it as much as i wouldve expected(since it had high ratings). sure, it got me interested to read on but after everything, i wasnt really satisfied. it may be that psychological manga isnt for me? or maybe the ending was too abrupt for me? idk. another problem that i had with this is its lack of consistency, both in the mood and the dialogues (i know that some dialogues were meant to contradict because of psychological issues but i just felt that some contradictions were forced along to way so that the author can fit it in their storyline. maybe it's just me). and while one or two tragedies might suffice, this manga is the epitome of tragedy overload. however, i applaud the author for making me feel fear. there were a lot of disturbing characters here. i dont regret reading this.

Really good! But really dark. There were things I loved, things I hated, but in the end it's a really character-driven plot and since I loved the characters, I stuck it through to the end. I thought the art (which is really gorgeous!) really matched the persona of the story - which was moody, if I had to give it a word. It gave a sense of wistfulness to every scene, which lent the story depth and a seriousness most shoujo manga tend to forego. A very interesting change-of-pace, if a bit chaotic for my liking - conflict everywhere, no breathing space for its protagonists. Just when they're getting happy, a bomb hits! That sort of thing. There wasn't a real plot flow to it, just a string of rather unfortunate events thats stockpiled its characters' misery. But don't get me wrong (lol) it's a really good read, just slightly depressive. Not something to read to elevate your mood, but a riveting story nonetheless.

I found this manga completely by accident when one of the scanlation team's used it as their recruitment page, and am so glad I did.
When I first read it I was glued, and even now when it's satisfying to re-read it even though I know what's going to happen. The reasons behind the character's actions and their behaviour, when revealed makes so much sense and explains everything you wondered about. The characters are deep, and although they take somewhat extremes of personalities in the case of Rei, it's what makes this manga. There's so much I love about this manga, I almost can't say anything at all, just that you should read this if you ever have the chance to.
Out of the many mangas that I have completed, only three got a ten from me, and this definately deserves it's place as one of them.

This is the greatest manga I'ved ever read! (period)

It's a classic, for me nothing can compare this. While reading it I felt a very strong emotion and now I'm having a hard time reading a new manga (sigh)

You could feel all the emotions of the characters.like they're real especially the drawing.
This is one of a kind and very special manga to me...

I'm glad I have a chance to express my feelings about this great manga.

Read all and love it but sometimes it did annoy me but that just me. It was a really good manga I don't what other think the manga and drama were pretty good. Even the sad parts were good just annoy the hell outta me is of the reason his brother die Gaaaahaaa

If you read this don't stop part way. You have to finish it because then you understand everything. Why Kira is weak and why Rei is so brash. The characters become extremely well developed. In the beginning it is definitely typical shojo but as the series gets on it becomes so much better. It can be a little dramatic but it's not irritatingly unrealistic. I certainly recommend this manga for an older audience because even though it starts out innocent it gets a little... intense.

But all in all this is a great read.
