Sensei hits again with another really good story of a twisted "love"

Second work I read by sensei and again I am utterly impressed. She succeeds in portraying an unusual sort of "love", she skillfully introduce twisted, complex feelings and relationships in a way that makes your heart and mind race to grasp what is being told and felt. Really love this! You never expect what the characters will reveal and what the situation will be.
Loved it a lot, something new, fresh and out of the norm. Highly recommended if you're open to complex, twisted "love" stories.

all the characters in all the stories are some level of fucked up. their views of love are fucked up so they can only have fucked up relationships. it often involves unrequited love between three people.
they somehow all find resolution, peace and balance in these stories, however. even while maintaining a triangle-ish relationship. instead of curing the fucked-up-ness, the characters just go with it and learn to co-exist as is. I like the delicate balance sensei has created and the way she managed to have each character find a bit of happiness. (except for the second story, but happiness wasn't the goal in that one)
I wish we had a bonus chapter on the sempai and the intern xD the only two-person relationship was still cute and weird, haha.

Psyche Delico really has a knack for writing love triangles and I can't seem to get enough of it! You always get sucked into her stories as they slowly unravel under her gifted hands and it's impossible to get bored. Similar BL manga titles with the same dark and gritty ambience usually miss the mark due to various factors but her works always knock it out of the park! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, and I recommend at least one reread to get a fuller grasp of the characters and better appreciate the mangaka's masteries. There are plenty of intricate details you might miss, coupled with the plot that's already complicated (and interesting) as it is. Now if I could get more material revolving that adorable boy in the second chapter that'd be ecstatic.
I wasn't ready for this feel-trip....

There are basically 2 separate story-lines in this manga and both of them had to do with unrequired love. The first one was really twisted because both parties involved were aware of their feelings but they didn't touch the subject until they reached 50 years old. The ending was unexpected but fair. The second story had me crying my eyes out cause in this one, the uke fell for his straight friend who ended up being his brother-in-law and kept his secret to his grave. Even after the straight guy learnt everything from the uke's "lover", the former was unaffected and couldn't be bothered about it. Like, who does that? Who treats another person's feelings like that? He wasn't worth all this love and affection. And as if this wasn't unfair already, in the extra chapter you get to see the uke's lover, that treasured him the most, hold the urn with the uke's remains sooooo dearly, I just couldn't deal this this scene at all.
I've always thought that this sensei was really good with the smut scenes, turns out she could really draw emotional stuff just as well.

This is a special work by Psyche, filled with skill, style and conviction. I'm honestly surprised.
Inu mo Kuwanai (Despicable) is a real departure from the rest of Psyche's scanlated works that I've read. As a result, it's definitely worth a close read.
Stylistically, a lot more attention to detail has been paid, and the characters don't come off as puppets in a 'plot-what-plot' porno--not that Psyche does even that badly. For example, Chocolate, Strawberry, and Vanilla had wonderful, multidimensional personalities, after all.
In comparison, though, Okuzono, Yamashiro, and Utsugi, while not being on-the-nose about it, really touch the heart, and in different ways..."The chased man, the man giving chase, and the man chasing the man giving chase."
I'll also add that the time and culture in which they grow up heavily influence their behaviour, and it's fascinating.
But for all that, their motivations and desires can apply to just about anyone: a desire for affirmation, affection, care, recognition, and respect, tainted by dishonesty and narcissism, perhaps even outright abuse.
But the above all gets told simply and very subtly. So give it a try one evening, and read slowly.

Everytime you read her works the first time, you probably won't like it. Trust me, that was me... But after a while of reading other stories, hers just sticks with you. It's after the second or third read that you can say you accept her work and actually like it. Even though this wasn't as good as Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, I still very much enjoyed it and loved her play with long term crushes and romances. There aren't enough of those these days. I mean, yeah, no one wants to read about two old guys having sex, but that's what homosexual is. It doesn't end when they are still young, it goes on forever. And I find it interesting to know about the forever. This manga was very lovely, with soft sadness in it.

This was a veeeeeery interesting story. It was rather short and I would've liked to see more to the relationship, but at the same time I'm glad it ended where it did. It was a very good read.
