Description
Upon the death of his grandmother, country boy Akira Nonaka is taken in by the immensely wealthy and powerful Takatou family. There, he is told that he is a candidate to become next heir to the Takatou name. However, there is another candidate--the princely, handsome Rei, who turns out to be a cousin of Akira's. Far from being competitive, Rei shows no interest in the prospect of inheritance, and instead takes an immediate liking to Akira. Rei's aggressive shows of affection muddle the naive country boy, until Akira begins to discover a budding attraction towards Rei within himself.

Not for me

The "romance" between the two MCs makes no sense, that's my main complaint. Second is that the numbering on the volumes is weird (japanese vol.7 ch.2 is labeled as vol.4 ch.2 by translator, wth?). Read up to v7ch3 (japanese) / v4ch3 (translation). The original manga actually seems to have had 9 volumes?? So confusing...

I was really happy to find a nice long yaoi manga to read (i like series' opposed to short stories/one shots) but after a few volumes i was starting to lose interest. The development moves at a snails pace... i had such high hopes when i started to read but the momentum it gathered in those few chapters sort of dispersed as the story went on and the whole relationship between the characters stalled and stagnated - then out of nowhere it seems they suddenly go from a few chaste kisses to going all the way... it felt a little forced and superficial at that point. Very anti-climactic D:

The only thing that kept me reading after a while was Shigure ^^; he's too cute hehe.

Overall my impression started off good and ended on a downer. Combine the sudden stagnation of the story and its characters with the very bad scanlations towards the end of the series... not a good impression =/ its such a shame, i had high hopes and it started so well, what on earth happened?

Loved this series. There were some issues -plot weakness (but most mangas have that, unfortunately), the art isn't that great (as far as Akira and Rei are concerned), and some of the issues between Rei and Raul are kinda... eh? But overall, they were all very likable in their own ways, and the CUTE cannot be denied.

I read this series in English, volumes 1-6, I think, and it's the first yaoi I've ever decided to purchase. So yeah, lots of fun and worth the read to me.

I thought it was cute. I thought some of the issues between Rei and Rauru were just stupid. Rei was too pushy, too. But Akira was just as much as a pushover. I still liked it though. The art wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either.

At first I liked this story, but now it's okay. I really dislike Rei's character he's too dominating. It's like he won't let Akira have any friends and he won't let Akira be himself. I really hate overly protective people. It's really selifish to control one person. To an extent it's okay, but there's a limit. I don't know why Akira falls for this type of person. I really liked this manga at first. I just get annoyed watching his character sometimes, I get sick watching it sometimes. I just wish that aspect of him was cut down a bit, then it would be a lot better.

Although I'm not one for romance stories involving any type of incest, I can look past it for this story. The art isn't my favorite, but the characters are lovable and I can't get enough of them! I just finished vol 6 and I'm hoping so hard that there's going to be more Hiyori x Tamaki!!! XD And there's always comedy mixed into the drama that makes this series so fun to read! XD How these guys get together doesn't always make the most sense, buuuut...you can't always have everything, right? That's why I give it a 9 instead of 10. ;P

I really like this manga. The characters are very interesting and very likable. It's really good at 1-3 volume but it gotten boring. The story is really slow pace, It's already in 6 volume and we don't know anything about the main characters background or past. Well im glad that the main character's relationship are progressing but really this mangaka need fill up the holes. I still give it a ten ignoring the boring parts and the side characters.

I like Koujima sensei's stories a lot. However, I have to admit that almost all of her works doesn't built up with a strong plot.
It's not bad but the plot is just kinda easy to figure out,

Anyway, I still say this story is fun and worth to read. Most of her works contained a light-hearted storyline and even tho it's not the best I've read, it can still give me a happy feeling when I read Sensei's works.

I like the art the most. I think it depends on each person but for me, her uke style really is my fav type!! (^___^)

Fun, cute, intense at times

Maybe it's because I'm reading the English translations (of which I have read 1 - 5), but I think this series is a lot of fun. I'm not a fan of the forced sexual situations, but the Semes never seem to go too far, and our Ukes are constantly shown taking care of themselves with *other* people, so I'm thinking the mangaka intends for us to understand that the Ukes are just letting the Semes think they're in charge.

Overall, the tone of the series is light-hearted, with ridiculous situations and plenty of humour. Occasionally, the emotional reaction of some of the characters can be intense in the extreme, and I admit, I would like these emotions and reactions explored more fully and in seriousness sometimes - that's why I rated this series an 8 instead of a 10. But I think the series is meant to be a humourous romp, which is probably why those intense moments aren't taken more seriously.

As I read on, I found myself giggling out-loud several times, something I don't normally do. I'm an older reader as well, so "giggle" is far from my default setting. No series has come close to reminding me of Gravitation until now, but Our Kingdom certainly has the right flavour, although far more sanity. ~_^

I'm looking forward to more volumes in English, but if they never happen, I hope someone will pick up scanlating this series again! <3
