Fairly typical reverse harem
by Zina

This manga wasn't bad. It is 100% a reverse harem so of that isn't what you're looking for, leave now.

The art was very pretty other than the slightly lifeless eyes.

However, the relationships between the characters was a consistent "I'm gonna fix this" followed by a "let us guys fix it for you". The main character has a habit of protesting things once, and then letting it happen once the guys insist. It makes her seem like her "strength"is all a facade.

The plot is a bit confusing. The heroine is very resistant and then she gets all gung ho about it. Also, they say her job is business and you see none of the business.

Very little consistancy

There is nothing in this that makes me think that the girl's character is consistent. Strong and savage one moment and a weak little maiden the next. WTF, if there was any consistency at all the story would have never left the ground. The characters are just typical reverse harem type characters but the reactions seem to make little sense. Sure even a lion type character can be overwhelmed when taken out of her comfort zone but this seems a bit ridiculous.

this story is everything i've come to expect from this mangaka- she always delivers. i *hate* idiot leads. i can make exceptions, but i can't stomach the shoujo status quo. none of this author's heroines are like that. in this one, the girl's pro-active and i love her for it. the dudes have character as well. the plot is engaging, the humor is wonderful (i cracked up when she crushed that apple) and the character interactions are awesome to read through. this story's a ten.

I loved Tenshi Ja Nai so I was willing to give this one a chance, but the summary did not grab my attention. I have to say that it is well worth it. I was very happy that I did finally read the first volume.

Yuzu is a very spirited girl and that is what makes the manga work. If she was just a clutz and submissive I do not know if it would have grabbed my attention.

Another thing that is keeping my attention is to find out what the real relationship is between Yuzu's grandmother (who does not look like a grandmother btw) and Hassaku Kagami (who is young and hot looking).

It is worth the read!

addicting read!

Only two chapters are out, but so far I found it a funny and touching story. The summary doesn't sound like much which made me hesitate to read this manga- but I was glad I read it. Yuzu looks like your weak glasses nerd but surprisingly, she has a backbone. She is optimistic, willing to sleep in the playground like a hobo =D, and to talk back.

There was this one scene in the manga that gave me a shiver of anticipation- much like how i felt when Tsukushi gave Doumyoji a red tag in Hana Yori Dango and declared war on him. I want the scene to come as a surprise to you guys so I won't talk about it. But it was totally kickass.

The other characters also have some depth- especially the grandmother, who seemed like a cold-hearted witch at first, but revealed a sense of humor and a soft heart. She is a fearless woman with charisma. Even Yuzu's dead mother makes her presence felt with Yuzu's recounts of her mothers interesting lessons i.e. "if anyone wants to fight, fight back!" and "Petty lies are effective sometimes", etc. The main guy is delicious and a bit mysterious.

The plot is fast-paced and very humorous. The art is wonderful and great at bringing out both humorous and tender moments. The manga is by the same mangaka as Tenshi Ja Nai.
