Has its flaws, but otherwise it's a fun read

As a fan of MMORPGs, it's hard to swallow that he, out of thousands and thousands of players(probably), is the only one who stumbled upon loopholes that can easily him rich and powerful. Sheesh. The game, Only Sense Online, even had a Beta run for god's sake. It's like LMS and Ark in that regard; it underestimates the sheer volume of players popular MMORPGs tend to get, and the cut-throat business-like approach alot of MMORPG players tend to take.

Other than that , well, it's a really fun read. It has less action and more in-game industry which I like. The MC is not overpowered combat-wise and the writer fall alot less on the "OMG! How is he able to do that?! With that little time?! Alone, and with one finger?!" drama.

If you like MMORPGs, and like crafting potions, weapons and armor and stuff more, then you'll love this.

EDIT after volume 4:

Well... Going by the past 3 of volumes, I think this novel started to slip. What stood out about this novel in the first volume is that it was crafting/business centered. That's what it was but recently idk what the author is going for anymore.

Instead of crafting and business, the author started to focus on different things, like quests, combat, pvp and whatnot, and honestly, I think he doesn't have the talent for those things. Firstly, his characters are too tame and innocent for that kind of story. Secondly, he doesn't know how to setup interesting battle scenes.

Lastly, and this is what annoys me most, are the awkward interactions between characters. It might have been cute and negligible at first but the forced gags, flirting(?), and even the simple conversations became too cheesy for me.

Idk, maybe it's just the translations(they're tolerable but far from perfect). Whatever it is, it's not getting better. I can't even find the point to volume 4. It was so short. They just... did some stuff and it's over before there's even a single significant thing that happened. Introduced some pointless characters that was already forgotten by the author at the end. I hope the next volume picks things up. If not I may just drop this.

A fun read

This Is a really fun light novel, where the MC takes a bunch of "useless skills", but notices that, when combined, they can be useful.

For everyone thinking that would make him overpower like In Moonlight Sculptor or Ark, It doesn't. He Is actually WEAKER In combat than his friends, but his build has some interesting uses.

I can only agree with nakie08. Strong volume 1, worth reading, but after that its just downhill. In some ways I prefer the web version compared to the edited novels since they have a vastly different storyline. The writer is a noob and has probably not written much. The ideas are great but the execution is poor.

A break from reality

A very enjoyable read where someone takes the unappreciated skills and makes them work for him. There are a few plot holes that need to be pointedly ignored such as, why is only the protagonist taking these skills. No matter how 'hey im going to be different' you are there will be people willing to drop a few skills into sub par skills for the fun of it. The idea that only one person is taking these skills is very silly.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
There's also the time expansion from the special event. If you can expand time, why don't you have servers just for expanded time. Being able to spend a week playing a video game every evening would be an amazing feature. Although you might explain it away with requiring too much computing power to implement all the time. I'd gladly pay a ludicrous fee to extend my lifespan by the significant amount they portray even if that time had to be spent playing a game.

At any rate It reads a bit mary-sue esq, but the characters are entertaining and the feeling of progress is enjoyable.

But just a note to the people above who think you cant have mmo where if you choose the right set of skills that no-one else has you wont be able to create a build thats basically op....
its been happening in ever MMORPG since well i started playing them. in ragnarok in the begging you could make a mil zenny by just talking to the right npcs, but they were took out now going with builds ive seen plenty of "trash" builds becoming op cos the right person used it the right way and its been this way in every MMO Ive played since. if you keep your skills secret people wont know your build so others wont have it. hell even going through beta GW2 had bugs glitches and OP builds that were kept somewhat secret it since started. if people keep it a secret others wont know and the writer implied that the merchant trio knew most of the things about his build except the enchantment but they kept it all a secret.

When everyone is an idiot, is the world idiotic or just you?

This is basically every MMO player's wet dream. Coming up with the right combination of "wrong" skills/abilities/moves to blow everyone else out of the water. This never happens in reality of course, but in a web novel? Have fun, cause everyone else is too stupid to catch on.
