I gave up on "Warui" after the first volume because Towa is too dumb and predictable a uke for my liking and Mikado is absolutely banal as the seme. I don't mind them as side characters but they lack the authority of key protagonists. That being said, my couple of choice is Shinonome and Kousaka, which is not even a real couple in the series. Haha. I also like the idea of a delinquent Yuki-chan: his VP persona is an overused bore. Unfortunately, in my humble opinion, Sakuraga-san went the wrong way with Yukiís tough and feisty character.

Truth be told, the whole series is rather predictable and cliché, with the mild and superficial drama, very base characters with conventional dynamics and a sort of "superficial complexity" that is too all over the place. Nonetheless, though it is not a mind-challenging sort of BL, it can still grant some level of satisfaction, mainly due to the quantity of bishonen involved. Visually, it has its high moments, especially regarding Shinonome, who really is the hottest of them all, haha. Otherwise it overuses shade and close-ups, the panes are too crowded and noisy, everyone shouts too loud, well, the usual. The graphic scenes are the worst. Itís like they are doing it in a room full of people watching and buzzing: too many speech bubbles, too many hasty lines, too much of everything, really.

Character-wise, the semes are all the same. They have that cool-but-complex vibe going on on the surface, but then they all react the way they are supposed to, in a very unsurprising manner. Kousaka was my favourite at the time I read Sunao, mostly because you could feel there was space there for development, in a way that does not resound with the remaining cast. Unfortunately, now that he has a more serious storyline (not really) you see that it was all for naught. At least with Shinonome he had a different dynamics from the other couples and that was refreshing.

Too sum it up: very average plot; very cliché and predictable characters; entertaining moments as far as the humour goes; too much of superficial drama; okay art style, though exceedingly crowded; bad choices for development left and right.

This whole series is just absolutely amazing. It's become one of my favourite yaoi manga! Sakuraga-sensei is so talented and her art is beautiful. At times it may get messy and the shading can be a little overwhelming, but nonetheless it's definitely eye candy. <3 She has a variety of different pairings within the story and all of the characters connect to one another. (Whether it be siblings, friendship, family, etc.) I have no words for how much i adore the characters featured in the warui series. They each have a different background which forms them into who they are as people. Being able to see the world from everyone's perspective was great! (: The stories are cute, funny, hot, and unbelievably heartwarming. Although it may come off as a bit cliche, Sakuraga-sensei spices things up and makes it into something worth reading. Trust me, you are bound to fall in love with one of these couples~ In the end, I can always come back and re-read this whenever i feel like it because i know it will never disappoint me. ^^

Every single book of the warui series is amazing and thus deserves a review and rating.
I just love everything about it! The art is great, there's a fun little story and the really nice thing about it is that you get to know all sorts of characters and as the series progresses on, you'll get to see their own romances!
The characters are simply awesome! They're not all that deep or serious, but they're funny and extremely lovable! I really enjoy the wanna-be delinquents who are all actually very tame and sweet and cute and all, just as much as the student council president who wants to break free from his chains to be himself and the tsundere vice president... there's such an overload of likable characters in the series, it's very hard to pick a favorite!
The oneshots here are alright but my focus lies with the main story.
I'll go ahead and recommend this series (make sure you read it in order!) to any yaoi fan because it's addicting and for me it's totally a must read of the genre!
If you're someone who keeps rooting for the lonely friends or brokenhearted side characters then you'll love this!

My type of manga totally, I really like the art (personally I find it very beautiful) I didn't pick it up before because the covers don't look very good but the actual art of the manga is absolutely great.
Even thought it's traditional Student Council romance it stands out and it's very well paced.

I'm not big fan of uke-dumb-like-log but I can't just hate this one >< So more plus points for me.

Whole series is worth reading if you like connected romances.

I read this after reading "Mujihi na Otoko" by the same mangaka, but this one doesn't capture my interest as much. It's just not as hot and not as emotional. However, it's cool to read about Aikawa Kuon's little brother Towa after having seen a cameo of him in the other manga.

This manga is a counterpoint to my generic tastes, and rather surprisingly, I love it. Absolutely love it. I read it a few dozen times on the net and I couldn't get enough so I forked out money to get the entire series shipped to my doorstep, and unfortunately for me, my mom found out and threw a fuss, not just about the shipping fees, but the fact I was reading non-mainstream romance. What terrible luck, but I suppose I ought to count myself lucky she didn't see fit to throw the books into a fire.

But I digress, regarding the characters, personally, I find them lovely. Towa is just so terribly endearing and Mikado makes a pretty matching seme. Separately as individual characters, they wouldn't have made much of an impression, but as a couple they were too adorable for words. Generally, I like ruthless semes, slightly on the sadistic side, and stupid-brave, but also insecure, ukes.

Case in point Asami and Akihito from Finder, Mookyul and Ewon from Totally Captivated, Havi and Vald from Crimson Spell. But oddly enough, among them all, I can say quite confidently that I love Towa and Mikado best. The dynamics of their relationship appeal to my rather offbeat sense of humour. Even if Towa can be so silly it completely boggles my mind, and Mikado is not quite up to the harsh standards of Asami or Mookyul yet.

And I think, I really do, that if they were paired with anyone else but each other, I wouldn't have liked them so terribly much, perhaps, I wouldn't have liked them at all. But as it is, as they are, I now say I've not known two characters better suited for each other than Towa and Mikado, they epitomize the overused cliche 'made for each other', and I meant that in a positive way. I have yet to see a seme whose devotion is as true as Mikado's or an uke whose faith and loyalty runs so deep.

While other semes manipulate (and I do enjoy those) or coddle (I like those a little less) Mikado protects in the truest sense of the word, I quote Mikado, he 'back(s) (Towa) up'. Without asking for anything in return. And Towa, the one specific thing that really struck my core was that his faith in Mikado was absolute. The average uke has a tendency to suspect their partner of some devious scheme (not that I blame them) but Towa's loyal to Mikado to the point that he wouldn't stand for anyone bad-mouthing him. In a way, I like it that they're special to each other, they're actually nice. Compared to other manga, where the seme's often especially mean.

All in all, I find it a really wonderful read, and I'm falling in love with both of them all over again everytime I read it.

kitty media did not translate the sound effects, and didn't keep honorifics; sheesh. i can't stand it when commercial versions are worse than scanlations; if you're trying to sell me your product, do a professional job.

that aside, this is pretty standard fare story-wise; there wasn't much development, and i didn't really care about anyone. while the seme were likeable and hot, i don't really like totally clueless and dense uke. if you can't even figure out what's going on when he has you naked and is about to enter you, you are too stupid for me to read about you. the art is what got this a point above average for me; the character art is nice -- though there are too many different screentones, and the backgrounds are often too busy.

I loved "Warui Koto" series. The plot is great, the funny and serious situations are super good. The characters are so unique and all of them are great!
And the art is very, very good too! As expected of Sakuraga-sensei.
I recommend this manga to everyone! It is my favorite so far!

I liked the main story specially and the second one too. The others are ok, but not that great.
For a one-shot, it's exactly what I was looking for: not much sex but enough to tease, good plot and lovey-dovey couples.

I'd actually have wanted it to go on, because Towa is the perfect uke and Mikado is the perfect seme (at least for me, 'cause they're the types I like).
As for Yuki and Shinonome, read the sequel "Kirai ja nai kedo "!

Lovely art in the first two ones!!

not really a big fan of the art, i mean the characters were drawn perfectly but the shading is too much. The main story was good and also the oneshots. My least favorite was the last once (chp 6), it was too short and no plot. Overall it's worth reading.
