Ngl after some point I didn't really care about the relationship of Winter and Jane. Fell in love with Zoe instantly and and then with the story between Claude and her. Their story are actually way more interesting than the main one and Zoe is way way way more interesting than Jane. Wish the story was a little bit focused more on them.
Beautiful story that is well written regardless.

The series is a romantic take on Frankenstein's Monster. A guy who comes back from the dead being sewn by different body parts. Him being the 1001th experiment. The very last one before the Alchemist that created him dies, 100's of year pass, and we find a new ava- I mean with the Alchemist dead the Frankenstein's Monster, which I will never type again so lets just use his name Winter, is found and kept in an experimenting facility. Where he is practically tortured. As they try to understand his immortality. Him not being to understand emotions or being able to feel. These sort've of things happen without him taking much thought into it.
Until one day they decide to make him meet a girl named Jane. Jane is a aspiring writer so she jumps at the chance of meeting this guy. So now they cohabitate. So he lives with her trying to understand what he is doing and what not. And she wants him for her story.
So this story is meant to showcase that Winter has in fact a heart and emotions and shit. He slowly but gradually learns this. At least thats how its supposed to be. The series at the beginning is a bit over the place. Which is partially why i liked it. I thought it was gonna be cliche but its actually quite dramatic. So it somewhat subverted my expectations. As you'd expect from this series there is a twist however it is revealed too early. Granted it dramatic, and has the intended but what am i gonna do now? The series just sort've fizzles out in quality. It still goes strong from the start but it was like i had no idea what was gonna happen next it was so chaotic. Partially due to the fact of the murderer storyline the author added.
Also yeah there is this murderer who is in love with this blind girl. They have a toxic relationship. Author shows that its romantic but its Toxic AF bro. Red flags everywhere. Its cute in its own way except when you know the murderer is trying to murder the blind girl to show that he doesn't care about her but also stops at the last second because he does care about her. This happens a couple times.
There is also the main villain of the series who is this really hot chick who i wish would step o-, Who has an incredibly dominating presence. Some of it can be because of her good looks, other because she is kind of awesome. The way she looks, the way she smiles. She owns the room she enters you can tell. She definitely was one of my favorite characters in the series. She has such an absurd amount of swagger.
But yeah throughout the series Winter learns what it means to be human. Early on when the change was gradual. It was enjoyable to see that gradual change. He was mean due to curiosity. He was like a kid doing shit just cuz. He was turning slowly human. But then suddenly one chapter later he basically becomes fully human? Like he overnight becomes showing every expression there is. It's like a switch was flipped. I didn't really like that part about Winter woods. It just felt random rather than the gradual change the series was going to show me.
The parrot can suck a bag of dicks. Worst character in the series. Can't believe what happens to him throughout the series.
The ending was poor. But even more so than i expected. Not only was the ending rushed. Everything was resolved in completely and utterly convenient way? Bullshit. Not only that there are still a shit ton of questions remaining. The facility that Everyone works at that experimented on winter has the worst security in all of mankind. What the fuck!
Also the romance was good. It went further than i expected and was adorable albeit again inconsistent as shit

I really enjoyed this webtoon; however, the transition to romance wasn't very natural in my opinion. Even the side couple's relationship seemed more genuine than our main couple's so it kinda went downhill for me once the confessions happened.
It's worth reading

I have just finished reading the whole manhwa this afternoon.
Overwhelming emotion and intense echo still linger in my mind. The artwork is fantastic, really nice drawing. All characters are portrayed vividly under a neatly worked-out plot.
Somehow the side couple: ZOE & ADORA impressed me more than the main couple. ADORA always carry tremendous positive energy with her that even change the dark, gloomy and coldhearted man like ZOE. We can not underestimate the power of Love right?
Highly recommend the manhwa!

This story has so much symbolism behind it, I wouldn't be able to cover it all in one comment. But its most encompassing element was the word "change." Everything in this story changed from physical changes to emotions, relationships, goals, hopes, and dreams. As you read, you can truly see the growth among all of the characters. Once I started reading, I couldn't go back. This story was able to touch at my heartstrings and on so many emotions. I was not expecting to go through a rollercoaster of feels when I started, but I am so so glad I did.

I can't remember the last time I sobbed so much. Literal tears streaming down my face and then pure joy a few chapters later. God I thought I would cry the most for Winter, but when Roy left I sobbed enough for the seven seas. But if you read this far into the spoiler, don't let the sadness stop you from reading. There's spring at the end of the winter.
Contrary to another reviewer, I believe the romance was an integral aspect of this story. Instead of detracting from the story, I believe it added another layer of intricacy and element of change.... Last updated on October 10th, 2017, 1:16am

I really enjoyed reading it until the recent chapters. It had everything that attracts me, good graphics, characters development, nice pacing, interesting plot with slightly lugubrious aspects that remind me of Tim Burton movies. So then, where did it go wrong hein??
Well, what I appreciate the most was seeing Winter character evolve, it was so exciting to learn more about him and Roy's past as the story was progressing. Even
But you can't extend all your narration on intriguing characters, with dark past/secrets for too long to build something even bigger, now can you?! Somehow you have to move on by revealing what needs to be say, otherwise it would be shoujouesque, pour ne pas dire shounen!! And we certainly do not need that, do we?!
For an allergic to excessive romance like myself, it started degrading the moment the couple was formed. I prefer romantic subplot over cheap love story. I've skipped almost a dozen chapters, and guess what?! I didn't miss a single thing. The couple is still as cheesy and lovey dovey as can be. Such soppiness makes me wanna puke to speak bluntly. There is a reason why I avoid shoujo, and when I started this manhwa, there was no romance at all for at least 90 chapters if I recall correctly. Not all girls nor women enjoy romance in a story mind you!!
This manhwa should have either ended sooner or have no romance at all, well that's just my personal taste. So I won't be finishing it in the end.

Claude that I was really despising in the beginning, I couldn't anymore after knowing where he was coming from and how he was brought up. I was even starting to feel sympathy toward him, wishing him to find hapiness with Zoé.

The first thing that caught my eye about these webtoon was definitely the art, the artist has a good touch with giving eloquent expressions to the characters, also the color and composition are truly a luxury. Comic scenes are so hilarious, nice combination of a dark past with an uncertain future. At moments the story is very heartbreaking while moments after is making you laugh as hard as you can.
I absolutely recommend this comic, has its own rhythm and its own charm.
I'm in chapter 40

I can't recommend this webtoon enough! It has everything; mystery, romance, comedy, fantasy, even a bit of horror. The story is similar to that of Frankenstein's monster, it's a story about an experiment learning what it is to be human. As well as Winter and Jane, the story also focuses on a blind woman, Adora, and a mysterious man she's in love with, Zoe. The story is really complex and there are lots of plot twists.
In regard to romance, it is definitely building up (I'm on chapter 38), and from looking at the spoilers it's going to become more central to the plot. The art is absolutely stunning and can also be extremely hilarious.
I'm so glad I found this series. It just keeps getting better and better.

A suspenseful premise, well executed.
Amazing art and interesting characters. The characters are quite eccentric and well developed. Winter, the heartless boy, feels realistic in his fumbling attempts at living-- his emotions are subtle, his actions quite disconcerting. Jane is interesting in her own right, too. I find Winter the lady friend the most engaging, though.
I wouldn't classify it as romance. From what I've seen, the underlying theme throughout the manga is empathy- rather than love. How can it be learned? How can it be taught? Does empathy begin with childlike sadism rather than affection?
It's off to a good start (up to chapter 13); I'm glad I found this underrated gem.
