Description
High schooler Hoshino Terumichi has been haunted by a recurring dream: a young man, a century earlier, dying at the hands of another man he calls “Sensei.” This dream–or curse–is about to merge with reality when a mysterious, attractive classmate named Yamada Omihito steps into Terumichi's life.

just sayin' but this is super good! i've read it multiple times because I can't get enough of it. If you like reading toxic/twisted romances or if you like the taisho period horror vibes, you have to read it asap. The visuals are total perfection as expected from Syundei, and I just adore getting to see sensei try something so different. If you've already read it I recommend Hashihime of the Old Booktown (a visual novel), Sakura Gari (manga by Watase Yuu) and Midori shoujo tsubaki (manga/movie by Suehiro Maruo). I'd also recommend reading old japanese novels, I was reading Kokoro the other day and I got flashbacks from this xd the teacher and the mc in that one are sus I will die on this hill. Edogawa Ranpo and the like write weirdo stuff like that too. Defo my kinda thing, would anyone recommend me more similar stories? I just really really like this manga its so fucked up.

I can't even say I liked it. I liked parts of it: certain lines.
It's definitely horror. I had to read it twice to fully understand, plus a warning, on some sites the last chapter seems to have been uploaded backwards. (?)
Well, it's definitely interesting... and the art is fantastic.
But uh. Someone stick on an underage warning. I'd call Kuroiwa that if Kuroiwa wasn't portrayed on purpose to be a demon. A cursed, otherworldly demon. I mean, that part of it feels hardly like the point, though, lol. The point is that Kuroiwa
I'm scratching my head, wondering if this was more edgy for edgy's sake, or if there was merit to warrant this storytelling. It's strange. I don't really know what to think about it.
Well... at the very least, it would make for fun literary analysis with someone... IF I HAD ANYBODY TO TALK TO ABT IT LOL

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
craves to be the one feeling that indescribable mix of both fear and pleasure, to be afraid the first time in his life.
"Yamada" wouldn't know love if it stepped on him. How strange.
Yamada, or Kuroiwa's only love, or yearning, is for death.
The "love" that Kuroiwa has seems to just be a demon's fascimile of it. I liked how Teru said, "This isn't remotely romantic. This is a curse."
There's something incredibly fucked up, but also kinda beautiful about the line "Because he said he loved me. To make this love last forever, I had to kill him."
But Teru... is what you have for Yamada/sensei really love..? He's not everything you thought he was. How can you say you loved him? You just have no one else. I can't say it definitely wasn't love, either, however. At least he told Kuroiwa to his face that he had called the police.
