Description
From DMP: Our hero Vash the Stampede disappeared for two years after blasting a crater onto the moon above the desert planet he saved from annihilation. But with good people and bad alike trying to track him down, he won't stay lost for long! Count on more crazy gunslinger action, new dastardly villains...and a new outfit, to boot!
Note: Nightow changed publishers to Shonen Gahosha and the series continued to be serialized in Young King Ours magazine. Due to the original publisher retaining the name Trigun, Nightow had to change the title to Trigun Maximum, which isn’t a sequel--just a new name for the rest of the same series.
So, the first 3 volumes were published under the title 'Trigun' and the entire series compiled into 14 books as 'Trigun Maximum' (the numbering was also restarted when the title changed).

Great manga
Rating: N/A

Great followup to a very interesting manga. This one sidesteps away from the pure old western shooter Trigun had and sticks in a heavy dosage of Sci-Fi into it, a REALLY heavy dosage. There's still some shooting but it doesn't have that western feeling anymore.
The artist keeps on drawing better right off the bat. One would think that a manga artist reaches his peak after the first few volumes but this guy continuously improves his work. More or less around chapter 73 the artwork is amazing and has no comparison to what the first volume of Trigun was (out of place doodles).
The plot is also very good. Very catching and always intriguing. Really a great choice if you like adventure and Sci-Fi. Don't forget to read Trigun before reading Trigun Maximum, this one's the sequel.
I lo~ve this series! Why did he have to make the ranking all messed up because he wanted to ask a question from the scanlators, who probably don't even check these posts...
Hmm, I really like this manga and as mentioned it's far better than the anime, still for me there are some missing things to make this a 10/10, the art is very good, the story also starts of very good, but for me gets "too complicated", too crowded (dunno how to say). This whole "spaceship battle against the bad person who apocalypse" stuff irritates me, but nonetheless its very good 8.5/10

This is one of the coolest mangas, if not THE coolest manga, ever made!!! I like the art of Yasuhiro Nightow very much. A unique manga in every way. (I bought all the relesed volumes of DarkHorse.)
Of course it deserves 10. I'm his neighbour (from Poland) but I don't understand why he gave the lowest rank possible. That manga is awesome. Don't miss it!
