Have you ever seen a "very manly girl"? The heroine in this story, Oikawa Ibuki, is just that type of girl. To find her true soul mate, after transferring schools, Ibuki was determined to act like a gentle lady. Yet on her first day of transfer, due to her righteous sense she went to save a small dog, and at the time she was seen by the suspicious "crow messenger"! Is Ibuki's whole image ruined!? And who is this mysterious "crow messenger"!?
Also included are the following stories: • Handsome! Beads Club "Hyper Version" • Very Black White Day

extra ruined it...
the extra is so meaningless and stupid. i mean the main girl agrees to meet this random guy that shows up (spoiler, i guess) turns out he is a ghost (spoiler end) and she meets him at night leaving behind her boyfriend who tells her not to go. she thinks is more important to keep a promise she made even if it hurts her boyfriend, to her promises are more important than feelings. he should have dumped the stupid girl, how can she care more about some random guy than her own boyfriend? what a stupid girl.
There's a lot of commenting on this series being generic and boring. I disagree with those statements. Yes, the outcome can be easily predicted within the first 10 pages, but most shoujo is like that and we still read it and love it anyway (mostly). I really really enjoy Motomi Kyousuke's art as well as story and humour. Although the story is typical of shoujo manga, the cast of oddball characters (and that includes the protagonist) have a refreshing energy to them that I think makes this manga unique and enjoyable. Reading it, I feel like the mangaka really has fun doing this work!
So. It's not going to answer any deep questions about life or anything. But it's a thoroughly entertaining, fun read for someone who likes a slightly different take on the typical shoujo story.
Also, the Very Black White Day side story (an un-related one-shot) is absolutely great. If you didn't like the main story, you should still read that!
Was it that bad?
I admit that the manga basically had no plot, but was it really that bad? I mean, sure after the heroine found out that she liked the guy, they quickly end up together, but seriously, it wasn't that bad right?
It was cute
I liked it. It was funny and unique in its own way. I mean secret student council as the beads club. That is something I would have never guessed and I love it. It was a fun read, cute, but it was too short, but it ended perfectly in a way that you're pleading for more. xD Its a beautiful story.
ehhhhhhh, unqiue but still a bit cliche
i dont know why but didnt like it as much as beast master either ~_~ so weird,i dunno the romance between them was a bit iffy. like he was just a pervert and any hot girl would do? but maybe that just me :x all in all it was an unqiue manga and is a good read for anyone whose running out of things to read XD like me!
well well well
"i can guess the plot in the first few pages" wow who cares u can do that with ever movie manga and novel it's not that hard to do ... many plots r xactly the same it's the way the plot is told that makes it unique . so over all i loved this manga and i thought it was a cute fun read
I like almost all the work this mangaka did! I totally dig the exaggeration the characters has! Its just hillarious! The story is cute as always. Recommended for leisure read, nothing too touching but really gives you a laugh =D
You guys are crazy :P
This manga is awesome, I think adding mystery sub plots would've ruined it, and i think turning it into a comedy would've ruined it. I like it, no, my mistake. I love this manga <3
Btw, if you thought the romance was boring i would say it's more realistic than other manga. If you want excitement i suggest you read smut
This manga has interesting plots and the characters are all pretty weird and funny. If you read this, you'll actually find yourself laughing quite alot like when the crow guy climbs a ladder was it? and breaks the school window with a shovel or when Ibuki punches a guy when he disses the guy she was on a date with -kyaaahaha lol soo funny the punch.
Anyway, it's a pretty good manga and it's worth a read. It's short and simple and thats what makes it not such a nusiance like some shoujo/romance mangas..
Bit of a bore
Some lively characters, but a bore as a romance. A weird guy tells a girl she's cute and that he loves her, and after dithering about it for three chapters, she accepts him. At least it didn't draw things out.
Would have worked much better as a general comedy with the amusing ensemble cast. As it is, they're little more than poorly sketched-out scenary. The heroine's manliness is pretty awesome, but that fades away in the bonus story. Even the titular beads are of minor, contrived importance. There's really very little going on here.
