It's alright. Couple of cliches here and there, nothing outstanding. Entertaining if you like your average shoujos.

If you're into cliche shoujo manga with misunderstandings here and there, this one is for you. Imo, this whole manga would've been better as a oneshot but I still enjoyed it.

Not bad but...

The beginning was pretty cute, but I felt that the story pretty much went nowhere. There were so many great characters that could have made the story more interesting, but instead we were stuck watching Miyao and Nanakusa go in circles with their feelings. I rated this still pretty high because of the art and that both MCs weren't totally annoying and despicable haha.

The character page slapped onto the end of the last chapter was awesome, and made me wish even more that there were more side stories about all the side characters. Nanakusa's friends! Her brothers! Miyao's brother! TT_TT

Side note: the two oneshots that are completely not connected to the main story at all were too cute for words and I sort of wished that the second oneshot (the last one) was the one expanded into a series rather than Nanakusa and Miyao's story. Their story might have worked better as a oneshot since 13 chapters were pretty much about their unresolved feelings. *rolls eyes*

I disagree

I see myself disagreeing with the two comments down below. For the most part the storytelling is good everything seems to connect without feeling out of place. The two main characters are pretty well constructed and I like the way they present themselves as well but I don't like them together. The guy seems too pushy. He has the upper hand in every situation and I feel the close proximity is what got to her more than really falling in love with the person but then again this is a high school romance blah blah blah. I would have loved to see a girl with a kick to her, someone who doesn't let something like holding hands get to her just to see the guy really fight for it.
It was too easy for me.

I Adore This

So far, I've only read three chapters but I love this story.

It's calming. The characters are sweet. It carries the same feel as the manga Hibi Chouchou but with the two main characters actually interacting (as compared to silent staring).

I adore the female lead. She's nice without becoming overbearing or unrealistic (basically what the reviewer below me stated), which is a complete breath of fresh air to the bad-mouthed, easily-angered tomboys that overrun the shoujo demographic more than one would think. I also think her mindset toward love and boys is realistic for someone who hasn't dated before and has focused on family her whole life.

The male lead is also likable. If he were by himself, I would probably just see him as generic. With the female protagonist, however, he sticks out and is a good partner for her.

I'd recommend this for people who like calming love stories. It certainly isn't groundbreaking but there really aren't a whole lot of shoujo stories with kind female leads without her becoming unrealistic.

So normally I don't particularly like the younger male older female relationships. I don't really have anything against them; it's just for some reason I find it less appealing. However, when done well I often find myself absorbed in the story. This one in particular has so far drawn me in, I like the female lead: she is kind--but not Mary Sue (at least imo). I like the story--it's not amazing but it warms my heart when I read it. Typical, but not bad--shoujo.
