Art (10%): 8 It is just regular shoujo art although it gets a plus one for making almost every character cute and for having the cute chibi parts.
Story (40%): 9 While the story itself is not very original (taking care of younger child), it was done well. I love how the author put in romance in the story focused on taking care of the younger child. Most of the time this is done wrong and it feels forced but the romance felt natural in this story.
Character (40%): 9 None of the character were outstanding but each character played their part correctly and developed as a character. Kippei, the average playboy changed into someone more caring and less play boyish (not to spoil but he gets into a relationship). Kokoro, the ice queen changed into someone more open. What I'm trying to point out is that there are major character developments and most characters are likable.
Enjoyment (10%): 10 I enjoy reading this story a lot because it was funny and never while reading this story did I think "when is this going to be over and done with".
This is a great story that deals with actual real problems between parents and children. It has a cast of unforgettable characters who are quite down to earth and likable (Yuzuyu's really cute XD). This is a great manga for those who are looking for something heart-wrenching and heart-warming at the same time. It's not really for those who yearn for some action or dislike stories about daily lives.
I cried. I simpy cried. And I'm a strong-hearted person. It was really really touching. It reminded me of MY older brother. It was a bit rushed at the end though. I was really moved when Keppei told Yuzuyu to go despite he loved her. I kept delaying to read this, but now that I finally read it, it was worth it. I normally don't like sad endings, but this was an exception along with Hana To Akuma. Totally worth your time
I recommend this manga to anyone who likes romance ^^
Reason why you should read it: -Romance is a 10/10 -Its funny -interesting plot -doesn't leave you hanging -fills in all the spots -GREAT art -addicting -something you won't be able to stop reading.
A really beautiful and adorable story. The characters were very realistic and Yuzuyu was just really cute. The story was really touching. I just loved the development of relationships throughout the entire thing. Only issues I had with it was the abrupt ending, and Kokoro. The mangaka could have stretched it out with a little more detail, and Kokoro wasn't very dynamic as a character. It didn't really explain in much detail why she always seemed so depressed. I mean, the reason was given, but nothing really came of it, and the story focused (obviously) more on Kippei and Yuzuyu's relationship rather than Kippei and Kokoro's. Kokoro was drawn really nicely though. Soooo cute. <_< The ending was still great though. Nice warm fuzzy feelings on the last page.
First: The art is mediocre at best. The mangaka use large eyes to make children and bigger girls cute, some of them so big that they look somewhat like an alien.
Story: The mangaka doesn't know how children talk, think or what is right to do whit them and what is not. So in the end she let them talk and behave like short grownups and not like 5 years old children. Yes, Yuzuyu is cute. But not a 5 years old child which has lose her mother AND father (the mangaka seems to has forgotten about this and so Yuzuyu has forgotten about her father completely too). In the end this manga is only a romance and about difficulties for the main male protagonist to get himself a real girlfriend while taking care of his cute 5-years-old cousin. IMHO the best character in this manga is the older sister of Kippei. Which is very strong, to the point of being over dominant, but who have her heart in the right place. I really do enjoy this character.
If you like to read something heartwarming and moving about children and grownups interaction read "Usagi Drop" (very good) or "My Girl" from SAHARA Mizu. Or if you like a cute and humoristic story than try "Yotsubato!" (beautiful). This Manga is definitely not on the same level like the three mangas which I suggested. You can read this manga but you would ask yourself many times why was the mangaka thinking children would say this or that. Or why it's normal for the ppl in this manga that 5-year-olds can walk alone trough the city to visit somebody. Or many more things like that. The romance part is OK I guess but nothing extraordinary.
I loved this story. It is sooo cute and adorable, and the reader easily gets attached to the characters. The flaw I find in this story is the end. While its a cute end, I feel as though just a letter and no other contact isn't quite right. Their bond was strong and you think (especially because they have a close bond and are cusions) they would see each other. I also wish they would have at least talked a bit about how Kippi and Kokoro ended up, even if just a picture. Other than that this was really cute and a must read.
I wish we could've found out more about the characters at the end. Nonetheless, this was an endearing story. I'm not usually into this type of manga, but the art was beautiful and the characters were all lovable. It was so heart-warming. This is definitely an unforgettable piece of work.
Story/Plot:- Just like several other shoujo romance manga the story is about a high school boy, Kippei who a bit of a player. This is until when his is stuck looking after his 5 year old cousin who's mom abandoned her. From here on their relationship grows into something special.
Artwork:- This manga has beautiful artwork with decent environments and a lot of detail put into the character designs.
Final Thoughts:- I'm a regular guy who's rarely read any shoujo manga and yet I found this story very heart-warming , as it's full of a lot of social issues and issues to do with looking after a kid. The story never really feels dragged out as it flows at a steady pace and it's interesting to see the different types of people the main character interacts with. This manga really isn't for everyone but I seemed to enjoy it. ^_^
The ending is quite sweet, but if the author added a few pages (about what's going on for each character or add flashbacks of current situation before the final scene), it would have been more complete.

For Aishiteruze Baby, I would prefer that it ends the same way as Usagi Drop". But of course, the main male character already has a girlfriend, if he would end up with the girl he raised, I would feel sorry for his high-school girlfriend. So I think it has a sweet ending, just a little incomplete (at least tell us what's going on with Yuzuyu and her current life, and what's going on with Kippei and his girlfriend. It left me hanging in an emotional state that Kippei and Yuzuyu never got to meet each other after the depart. lol
