yeah it is nothing special.i know it just another generic story about a person came from another world and aim to be the top or whatever other purposes. i cant find anything i hate about the mc.he is actually hardworking, know how to do chores, very smart, not a perveted,he is secretive about his power which i like, he is not guliable and aware of people intentions. he does care about his companions depend how much time you gain his trust.he does have of sense moralty.if you hurt his friend.he will hurt you more but if you treat his friends kindly.he will rewarded you. the only problem thing i could think of is his power .it is beyond op but hey we do love op mc but still we dont want the action to be dull. we want the mc to have strungle and difficulty on his shoulder .cause that make it very interesting.i hope the action dont fall down to turnmoil. the harem it is slow pace. i dont find it annoying. there is actually funny moments with his harem. the girls they are decent.by far their design make it more apealing .what we have is a big boob clumsy easy- going girl assassin and a overconfident loli magic girl which kinda remind me of the girl from You will be mine, Hero. — I refuse but i prefer them rather than annoying possessive cocky tsundere girl.yeah i recomended if you like this type mc rather than average until to strong.i find it enjoyable.

the story - it is quite mysteryious as you proceed read it even further. the mc goal is quite simple but there is other surrondings to this story give it in another meaning because
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
when his grandma died. well not actually his grandma. i mean stella when she died. everyone forget about her except seito and nina. there were more coversation in the story about some organization oberserving on seito like a freaking experiment
.

the side characters: i thought to myself, is this gonna be always about the mc? well.. no there actually some support from the side characters. it not always seito the one who think up good ideas.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
lena who is the the self proclaimed genius given that have came up on unanazled guild card which their situation more secure and most of time the one who keep with the magic delevopment. nina came up on some kind thread aka heaven nets which make their area to notice enemys even further.

his cheating ability - i found his life or situation might get even difficult there is some condition to his ability. he cannot steal someone skill instanly. it require time, distance and concentration.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
he was considered one of demon childs. this demon childs was told there were destruction of the world or abominations. there were four right now plus seito make it five. there might chance found out there powers might be the same or different or even more powerful than seito

ame old premise of game element world but i like it
seito yuu character is a child abused victim. who his parent beat the crap out of him ( like most bad parent in anime series)
his quality trait. he is quite smart. i would not say genius but there is moments he understand the game system.
he is consistent and productive. he is always spared his time to increased his survival with team like making potion , alchemy ,inovitive magic techinique , read books and doing house works. he absolutely cold to his enemies. do cared about people depend how you treated him and how long.

I was interested in reading this and since I'm still learning basic Japanese, I couldn't read without fan translation. I checked Rebirth Online World's site, saw the "MTL" tab, and knowing that MTL is basically a crappy translation even if it's edited, I made a comparison between the MTL chapter 1 and the chapter 1 teaser translated by another group linked in the introduction page. Upon comparison, I found that the MTL chapter is missing lines and some of the information differs from the teaser chapter. Of course, I wouldn't believe everything without basis so I checked the chapter 1 raws, and while I can't read Kanji, I do know the Hiragana and Katakana and noticed the MTL is missing words/lines. While non MTLs are potentially wrong, MTL is even more likely to be wrong. I won't touch MTL novels unless there is an editor that does tlc which Rebirth Online World does not seem to have and if they do, then clearly not when TDADP first started being translated.

Better Than Expected

The last few years, summoning/reincarnation plot has become cliche. For some reason or another, I like that type of setting. Some title do it better than other, maybe because of world building, MC objective or the characters in the story. The reason I am enjoying this LN, is because of the pace and the MC. The pace is faster than Isekai Mahou wa Okureteru! and Maken no Daydreamer. The MC went through terrible abuse in his past life and continued in his present life, until he became slightly stronger. However, he still kind to those who are kind to him, but what I like from the MC is that he is also ruthless to those who try to harm him or his friends.

As far as character design goes it isn't bad. Thats pretty much the only non negative feature.

The writing is exceptionally boring, both dialouge and combat are generic, weak and often glazed over as you can tell from how the first chapter basicly reads as shoddy narration with zero dialouge which is normally expected if you want to get attached to these characters.
Somehow the world building is extreme crappy, trying way to hard to mix realism and rpg styles. I mean how can one guy fight 30 goblins at a time? He only loses an arm somehow, and these goblins are just bum rushing this apparently boss like character and theres somehow 2 mages each with just the perfect lvl 1 skills. Not to mention any semblence of combat is kinda just ignored, the redults are described and thats about it

Also something about a 12 year old randomly spanking an older teen girl whos killed or at least escaped from multiple skilled adventures seems dumb, the whole thing feels awkward and out of place as a set of dialouge and the reactions anyway.

Tl;dr this series reads like a horribly shitty fanfiction, will not read again

Extremely Generic

You have a protagonist, who dies from <insert cause here> and is transported/reincarnates to another world where coincidentally RPG mechanics apply (with lvls, stats and such) it's the ultimate otaku/gamer power fantasy recipe, which is the new crazy among Japanese otaku. The author couldn't be more lazy then that.

You can't be extremely original these days, which is fine and understandable. But following a recipe? Really? There's literally no word building here. You have these elves, dwarves and fantasy races, but they're there with no explanation whatsoever. Where did these elves came from? Where's their main city? What are their origins in this world?. The world is literally a blank space. It's just a generic fantasy world, you just have to believe that.

There he meets <insert omnipotent character> who gives him cheat like skills. Or something happens, and he gains that skill alone (which is basically word of god, giving him for free). In this specific work, the so called cheat skill is the "bereave" skill.

Which is basically a glorified stealing skill. So you have a protagonist, who can basically steal any skill from any monster/human he came across, which breaks any balance in a RPG. You can't have a person that can use any weapon, and any skill from any class (even ignoring race specific skills!) but this is basically what happens here.

With that in mind, you have a incredibly amount of false tension, because you already know who's going to prevail. The protagonist leaves his initial city wanting to be the strongest, but you already know he's going to do that. If he's defeated by someone (which rarely happens), he just needs to "grind it up" to defeat that same person later on.

Then you have other character's who are basically there to kiss the protagonist's ass. They are just there to remind you how broken the protagonist is, how incredible his feats are, or if they're girls, to fall in love with the protagonist.

The original Japanese work is already bad enough, but what impressed me the most was the quality of it's translation, which is a proofreaded machine translated work, with a bunch of mistranslated lines or close but not quite guesses. The translator even asks for help from his readers! Talk about the blind leading the blind.
