Description
Kishibe Shino, a high school student. 17 years old. Her parents died, and then six months ago, so did her older brother, her only remaining blood relative. Now she lives with her “brother’s wife,” Nozomi-san. “We might not be blood related, but we’re family.” The story they write is a bit clumsy but full of something inexplicable. Slowly but surely, they happily grow together through their sensitive daily life.

Exactly what xGBTx said, 10/10

It's about grieving and getting through each new day, both with unhealthy and healthy methods but always understandable.
It's beautiful. Beautifully drawn, beautifully written. It's achey and at times light and happy and funny and always respectful. I don't always agree with what the side-characters say about the 'mistakes' made but that's life, too.

Also there's a lot of yuri-bait though it peters out and is rarer later.

Read up to chapter 100

The Synopsis describes this quite well. The first 9 chapters just establish as much. They're fluffy, charming, funny, mixed in with short poignant moments of tragedy. Then the end of the first volume hits you with 2 inner monolouges, describing each Sisters relation from their point of view, the way they feel guilty for relying on the other, how aware they are of their own failures, yet unable to move on. It really pulls the rug out from under you and got me utterly hooked.

It's a very realistic showcase of loss, the way it's never truly resolved. Just a scar left in the lives of yourself or the people around you. The cast of side characters is ever growing, and none of them are some one-dimensional stereotype. Everything builds on another nicely.

Also there's a lot of Yuri-bait between the two. I find it charming how the author leans into it and never felt it got to a point where it was overbearing or felt unhealthy for their relation, but inevitably a lot of people will end up feeling disappointed with how that particular plot branches out. Everything else is beyond criticism in my mind, though.
