Waste of potential.
It is a shame that the author simply does not care anymore.

Season 1 was interesting - the villain protagonist sees a cursor in real life, and he does whatever it instructs him to do. So he gets in fights and wins no matter the odds. He even ends up killing people, taking a hostage, etc. The story is focused, action-oriented, violent and mysterious.

And then season 2 comes along, and all that is thrown out of the window. The personality of one character does a 180; a few named characters die offscreen (wtf); the cursor no longer appears (double wtf); the pacing becomes horrid; the plot has no idea where it wants to go; etc. And the ending in particular is terrible:

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
We're supposed to believe that the protagonist just hallucinated the cursor, i.e. that everything he did was just due to a combination of video game addiction and schizophrenia.

That fails to explain the protagonist's charisma (at one point, a cult forms around the cursor), as well as his ability to win fights 10:1 despite no training. And what about his uncanny ability to find his targets, irrespective of where they are?

Not to mention that it's utterly boring.

As I said, it's terrible.

I don't understand how the creators of season 1 managed to create such garbage as season 2. Don't bother with this manhwa.

I don't agree with wait321, not all stories need to be "out of this world" fantasies with bunch of fan services. What the heck, this webcomic doesn't even have the fantasy tag, so why are you disappointed with the reality of the story? It is like someone who don't like fantasy stories giving Death Note low rating since shinigamis are not real (although it is obviously a story with fantasy elements, and bloody fantasy tag).
Enough with my ranting and back to the webtoon. Art is a little bit sketchy so it gives the feeling of chaos and uneasiness, like the story itself. Unlike the first season, second season is not colored, so it gives the impresion that authors lost enthusiasm. I think story is executed quite well, but I do feel like the culmination of the story is a little bit rushed. It would be nice to see more of MC internal struggle in the last few chapters, and I feel like the story would have had more impact if MC had some kind of theatrical ending like suicide instead of... Well, read the story and you will know hehe bigrazz

Missed opportunity

After reading this work, I really feel like the authors just gave up on a great story premise. They only played around with the simple idea of whether the cursor is real or not. As a result the story didn't go anywhere and it ended in a realistic (and extremely boring) way. However, stories are suppose to take us beyond the realistic.

Just off the top of my head, I'm thinking the authors should have just made it apparent that the cursor is real and focused on the idea that God-like 'players' are using cursors to direct different characters. The players have different goals, levels or risk, planning, etc. and the characters slowly try to discover things about their player and whether they want to go along with the cursor or not. That would have been far more interesting than what I read.
