Nothing new but for people like me who sometimes enjoy light stories about catching feelings between childhood friends, it unfolded in a way that was just right. There are a lot of plots with the same setup, and we know where its headed, but a lot miss the mark and thankfully this one didn't. An easy and enjoyable read. Just enough internal angst and reflection by Naoto to feel him being troubled by it, delightful for me. Adorable shorter uke without it being too much. Also never had a frustrating moment with him.

The friend and senpai were also fun characters.

I wished there was one chapter from Satsuki's pov so an ending would have felt more conclusive.

its good but there's something missing

So I've read some other manga by this author and illustrator before and I was extremely wowed (in particular 'Koi nanka shitakunai'), so when I saw this in the shop I had to buy it.
In comparison, however, it was disappointingly average.

I'm not going to say it was bad. It was enjoyable, but what let it down for me was the predictability. Because I'd read other manga by this team that surprised me plot-wise, I was hoping this one wouldn't go in an obvious direction, but it did - turns out exactly how you suspect right from the get-go.

It's basically a student-student story, with both characters being childhood friends and developing feelings for each other. The themes in this were quite similar to 'Koi nanka shitakunai', but the way the story panned out was not as gripping. I think the seme was the problem. He was a little too 'in the know' or so to speak. I could have done with some more agonising on his part.
It would have been even more interesting if their feelings weren't mutual, too - add a little drama to it.
