From Yen Press:
With his carthorse as his only companion, the young merchant Kraft Lawrence slowly wends his way through dusty back roads in search of profitable trade. But this monotony screeches to a halt when, one night, he encounters a harvest goddess in the guise of a beautiful young girl…with wolf ears and a tail! Longing for the northern lands of her birth, Holo the Wisewolf joins Lawrence as he follows the ebb and flow of trade through the countryside. And when the two come across a compelling but suspicious opportunity for profit, will Lawrence with his mercantile chops and Holo with her ancient instincts be able to separate the truth from the lies — and make some coin while they’re at it?

May be witchcraft or something...

This manga is almost scary. It is about a salesman and a wolf diety who travel around and sell wares together. The story does not sound interesting in the least (well, to me). But, for some reason, I cannot stop reading it. I have been late to classes because a new chapter came out. I do not know what the pull of this manga is...I am not interested in wolf girls nor medieval business practices. But, I do not seem to be the only one oddly attracted to this story.

In a nutshell, this is one amazing story with unexpected focus for a story of its kind. Never seen the anime yet, but the closest thing come to mind about this manga is the anime "Kino No Tabi".
Too bad, the manga isn't as far as the anime or novel yet. I'm waiting very anxiously for the next chapter.

Never have I been drawn into a manga so quickly. After the first two chapters I was totally hooked. Horo is just the right combination of vivacious, serious and cute. Lawrence is just the perfect character to balance her out too. His calmness and sensitivity managing to throw Horo off guard and show every facet of her character. With a little bit of basic economics and religious fanaticism thrown into their world, the product is a manga which deserves nothing less than the highest praise.

Seriously, if you haven't already, read this NOW.

The chemistry between the two is awesome just pure awesome. The dialogue is excellent and I recommend people to watch the anime which is just pure win. The trading business is also interesting, this manga has a unique charm of its own that few mangas can pull off. The anime is a must for people as well. Its brillian both season 1 and season 2.

This is good. And by good I mean great. And by great I mean... well you get the feeling.
The characters are plain AWESOME ! Honestly they are pretty much the best you can find out there, vrey few can compare. The romance is well done, the story is very nice, and the plot itself is very interesting. Don't skip through it, really read it, you get a nice feel of what it meant to be a merchant in the middle-ages.

Well overall, not a single default I can find in this piece. Maybe I fear that we will not see any actual developpment between the two of them for a long time, but even that is not really a bad point. Anyway it doesn't bother at all. So obviously, a perfect score for me.

I'm not going to rate it yet because I have only read two chapters, however what I have seen so far looks very intriguing. The first chapter mainly developed the setting and the second chapter was mostly exposition about the nature of Horo so I have a feeling we've yet to get into the real meat of the story. Even so, it has captured my interest and I am very much looking forward to the next release, and that is always a good sign.

Man, I really shouldn't have started reading this even though it isn't finished yet. Now I simultaneously wish for it to continue to around 10-20 volumes and for it to finish asap so I can read it without worrying about it possibly going on Hiatus or being discontinued due to author death or something like that.
Especially in this case as seeing how it was licensed in a lot of languages and I wouldn't want to buy it to continue reading and then something like that above happens.
Hopefully the mangaka is a fast writer >_>

This series has a very unique concept. It's about a middle aged merchant and a wise wolf deity as they travel through the land. It's a very charming couple that will make you giddy on the inside. The two face all kinds of trouble from the church (and each other). This series is one of my favorites. The combination of great characters, great art, and great story touch my heart. This enchanting story gets a perfect score from me.

I watched the anime to know the continuation of the story, and the story itself was great, but the art, and the atmosphere are far far (far far far) greater in the manga...
I want to read iiiiiiiiiiit ! User Posted Image
