Description

Only ~25 chapters so far, but a good novel.
The MC looks at first like any of the ordinary guys irl. But that's exactly why I like him - because he's not a retarded and dense mf nor is he a spineless pervert. I'm saying this as a praise because it's almost like an unwritten rule for Japanese LNs to have pathetic main characters (useless gamers or shitty pervs).
But no, this MC is a decent one. What I appreciate the most at him is that he realizes clearly his real status: he says it himself that the female MC is out of someone like him's league - and yeah, she really is. The girl is a genius in magic and a Holy Maiden, famous across the entire country. She's like the perfect girl, not unlike a Mary Sue.
But the MC is aware of his inferiority, and he starts to work hard in order to feel like he deserves to stand besides her, not abusing her blind devotion and love towards him (yeah, the girl is crazy in love with him, for good reasons tho)
It starts out with an angsty vibe (first 2 chapters or so) but then it gets more light-hearted and fluffy...At any rate, not much is known about the plot since it has just started being translated, but so far it has been an enjoyable read.

As for why have I rated this novel so high? Because it stands out compared to the Japanese LNs (of which most are shitty) through the following:

2. There is no harem. Yeah, I swear, nowadays, finding novels without harem is like finding a trunk of gold buried in the backyard of your house - that's how rare they are
