Pointless drama

Kind of interesting, albeit clichéd, but still OK.. until the last chapter of volume two/start of volume three.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
It all boils down to Kai being a massive cunt, and Kuu-chan being a total sheep for just tagging along and not expressing herself. Granted, she never was one to say what was on her mind but the whole character relationship thing isn't fleshed out but flat out stupid.

I'd say better not waste your time.

I was a bit hesitant to read this manga becuase there were a couple bad reviews and i'm not really used to the art but man... i thought it was awesome. So many emotions just came out of me.. anger, frustration, sad, happy, excited, giddy. I'm really glad i read this manga! I guess it varies for some people but i suggest trying it out! I loved how everything went and it was just.. really good smile

I myself was doomed with this manga. I fell in love with the side-ish character Kai, and thus I resigned myself to pain. But anyway, the manga is very touching in some ways and has a lot of morals about how to deal with others and yourself. Personally, I think it could have been shorter and achieved the same effect (though hopefully with a different ending), but if you're a shoujo fan, it's worth a try. If you end up liking Kai, do yourself a favor and judge where your happiness ends and your disappointment begins and stop reading.
The plot is actually not that cliche, and the characters are well-developed. Each character has his/her own struggles (realistic struggles, mind you). They all fight their way through the turmoil and build stronger relationships with each other. I really disliked the coupling, but I read through till the end anyway.

the word blue really desribes this manga
after ao and riku break up there pretend relationship there is not a single happy moment in the whole story. its just drawn out and depressing especially for a highschool love story.
i hated all for characters. the only reason i kept reading is to see if tako and yoshida would end up together and they didn't. unless you are really into over dramatic over kill dont read this series

I really liked this one .
judging from what other people said about how it started to get boring after volume 2. i disagree .
yes it was very cliche , but the fact that the characters were lovable characters, it was so heartbreaking to see that all of them cried. all of them felt hurt in some way. this manga wasn't only about the battles of love, but the battles of friendship too. this is definately, one of my tops. the last chapter especially , made me cry a lot . even with that happy ending , i still can't help but feel sorry for the supporting characters..

I don't know what to say. It was really kind of depressing. The female lead cried so much, I'm no longer sure why everyone thinks she's a smiling cheery happy girl. And I felt bad for the secondary characters. That was about it.

;__;

I honestly thought this manga would have a better development/ending... I agree with some of the comments made, the story just became annoying.

The main character became insensitive annoying jerks and I actually liked the two supporting characters better; And expected a better ending for them, because neither of them really deserved such an ending. >__>

It was super, until around the end of v4/start v5, where my love for the characters at the beginning turned into annoyance and hate. Everything just went haywire, and it felt like the story went round a huge circle. Melodramatic and frustrating. Reminds me a little of Bokura ga Ita.

Although I have a slight aversion to love triangles, I thought it was done quite well in the first few volumes, so much so for me to carry on reading. But, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and reading the end wasn't entertaining, but instead painful.

Disappointing

When I started, I just expected so much more. I didn't think that by the end of this manga that I would start disliking the two main leads and feel so passionate about the two supporting characters.

At first, I liked Riku, but as the series progressed, he turned into such an annoying static character for me. The main reason was that he was so indecisive for his feelings between the two girls. This trait continued throughout the whole series. First, Ao made the decision for him. Next, Kiyono made another decision for him. He never decides for himself and that honestly frustrates me.

Ao, on the other hand, just seems stagnant throughout the rest of the series. Her character never really develops after the first three volumes and becomes a little uninteresting. You know she's suffering and that's all you really get to know about her after a while.

No one really liked Kiyono much, but I thought she made sense in a way. She is deeply in love, but she was able to move on. This shows a change in her character and how she matures. Kai undergoes some changes also as you see more of him. Instead of being the cool neutral guy, he falls in love, has desires, gets angry, gets hurt, feels regret, feels pain, and earnestly tries to make the girl he is love with feel the same thing for him.

The supporting characters have so much more development than the main characters that I ended up caring more for them. This could explain why this manga ended on such a sour note for me.

the first two volumes where riku and Ao are together are awesome but the ENTIRE rest of the series is just them misunderstanding each other, not saying they love each other and going out with other people.ITs dragged out bullshit.jesus, just CONFESS already!
