Maybe it's just ppl around me, but they keep pestering me abt the "Korean" aspect of it. In fact I dont like the art (as well as most Manhwa) and when I finally decided to give it a try, I gave up halfway. and it's just tiring to read, really. Drama after drama ensues while I dont know how to feel about it, it doesnt touch me at all.

i mean really? i have heard so much of how awesome this is and how its a staple for all yaoi manga, a must read.... reality is, art it okay, story-line predictable and honestly the side characters were more entertaining than the protagonists! .... so glad i didn't buy it!

Lemme say that the drama is good. The intensity kept me up. But it kept reminding me of "100% Perfect Girl" because it went really dark, one is pushing the other away, the jealously, and any other dark emotions.

Character developments.....I dunno about that. I don't know if it did develop, but I did like the side characters. They crack me up sometimes. The side characters, I mean the other employees.

Storyplot is intense as I said, but I'll have to lower my score. It did have its yaoi cliche, but it wasn't as cheesy as I thought.

The artwork, I thought it was really good. Apparently some other reviews disagree with me.

The ending was a good wrap up. But I did feel a bit dissatisfied. Maybe 'cause his past was revealed at the very end, the last chapter. Usually the last chapter is supposed to be not so dark and it's a wrap up. Well, it did wrap it up, but it still left a linger of emotional for me. Maybe it's good, but I prefer a very happy ending to make me forget those negative emotions.

Well, I think it's one of those series that you really really like or you really really hate. For me, I'm leaning toward the like side. So I recommend this series. It's up to you if you like it or not.

And I still cannot forget about it until today. Have to say, this is one of the best yaoi manhwa out there, the emotions and passions in this manhwa just keep the readers going. The plot is the best, having no other manhwa like this and the art just tops it off! Have re-read it a few times already and I still can't get enough of it. Everything in this manhwa is intense and it leaves a mark on you after reading it.

I have to say that i may be biased in my review of this series. Its one of the first yaoi/shounen-ai stories i read and it remains one of my favourites to date. First of all, the art is lovely. The characters are all well drawn, the panel placing and flow of the story through the art is also excellent. As for the story and characters - they are great. The characters have many cute moments, as well as moments where you can't help but laugh, but also manage to put on a serious enough face when called for. The relationship between the two main characters is also noteworthy. They have contrasting personalities with just enough similarity to make things interesting, this keeps their interactions tense, amusing and captivating. This is the sort of story you just don't want to put down bigrazz Throw in some gangster action, some love triangles and a ton of threats (usually from the boss to Ewon) and you've got a nice little recipe for a highly entertaining read.

I must say, without a doubt, that this is one of the best yaoi manga I have ever read. For once, there is character development where it is more than just i-rape-you-and-we-live-happily-ever-after. Imagine that. The depth of emotion and the amount of drama was just perfect (I can never have enough drama!). The manga flowed smoothly, and it was ... wait for it ... funny! I really don't find many mangas that are able to incorporate humor without making it weird or awkward. Furthermore, the art is gorgeous. I melted into puddles countless times ~ I only wish I can find more mangas exactly like this!

mixed feelings, mostly negative

i am coming off a streak of really excellent manga, and this one is suffering from the immediate comparison. i was mostly annoyed by it for 2 volumes; fortunately it started to pick up. some of the things that bothered other people didn't bother me -- mookyul sleeping with the old man out of gratitude? makes sense to me. ewon cheating on everyone also makes sense once one suspects his backstory; he's very much broken. it would have helped if we didn't get that backstory infodumped on us in the last chapter, but had more reveals earlier -- i expected something seriously traumatic so i gave him a lot of slack. that both mookyul and ewon are hyocritical about their cheating comes with that territory; that doesn't put them beneath contempt for me. also, my feminist heart has long been desensitised to rough dub-con sex and casual domestic violence in BL; it is a different world.

the middle part was decent, and i got caught up in it. the art also got better; i didn't like the character design a whole lot at the start, but around v3 it starts to get good, and there are actually some noteworthy panel designs too. i can't say that the sex ever did much for me, but it wasn't horribly bad either. the kissing is reliably hot. the humour is often quite nice; very cute chibification.

but now that i am finished i don't feel fulfilled and happy, i feel exhausted. my ghods, the melodrama. seriously; too much. it just would not let up in v6; i wish i had stopped reading at the end of v4. i feel manipulated by the extra drama, and not even particularly skillfully (WTF, after all they went through mookyul would just disappear from the hospital without notice? that is supremely retarted and doesn't even fit the character by that time). and seriously, it felt like the author crammed every yaoi cliche in here; childhood promises, blackmail, forced labour, love triangles, cute and fluffy gangsters, etc. but worse, i am not happy with the character development of ewon. he doesn't actually grow through this manga; to the very end mookyul has to do all the work so they can be together. so while i feel sorry for ewon, i don't like him much because of that; i need more effort from even damaged people (hey, being damaged myself i know what it takes, and it irks me when somebody doesn't put in the work). ewon hurts everyone around him every time he gets into a fit because of his baggage -- and he doesn't stop even at the very end.

somebody else said: Oh, if you enjoyed this series, you will adore Loveprize in Viewfinder as well!. i agree. i also think the reverse is true. i didn't care for viewfinder; the art was pretty, but the story was insipid, and to get me to swallow the "rapee falls in love with his rapist" trope, you need to do something extraordinary to make that happen, not just have the rapist continue to rape and claim the rapee really gets off on it. in contrast this manwha has a storyline that at least develops an acceptable plot, it is less blatant about the non-con, and mookyul actually grows into somebody i can sorta like (asami doesn't). so yeah -- if you enjoyed viewfinder you probably won't be bothered by the same things that bother me here -- but if you didn't care for viewfinder, i suggest to give this a miss -- or at least stop at the end of v4.

Not as good as I expected

It's been a long time since I first stumbled upon this title and waited to read it. Then, it wasn't finalized and I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to read it fully. I know it's been finished and available for a while now, but I haven't read as much yaoi as I did a few years ago recently. I don't know if it's because my tastes changed in this period or because I waited so long and I had high expectations, but I really don't think it was that wonderful. Yeah, it was nice, and Mookyul it's so damn HOT, however I don't find it that good and I think some of the things that happen are a bit far-fetched. It's a bit overrated IMHO. Or I'm just not into yaoi as I used to be :[.

The best yaoi I've ever read.

I can confidently say that this manga is the Best yaoi manga that i've read. i've read a lot of very good ones but this one perks up my interest the most. i love how the seme changes throughout the story for the uke. it's just like a highschool love imo because the seme just loves the uke so much. although we can tell he is VERY possessive, i think that part of him is sweet. there is a lot profanity but i love it nonetheless. And also, the art it simply gorgeous that it makes me come back and read it all over again. i can't count how many times i've reread this manga because i love it so much.

too much of domestic violence...

Well, I love Yaoi but I don't understand how women can fantasize on a story of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ?? I mean, come on, the seme keep threatened the uke, beat the uke (bite,..), rape the uke, and try to make him cut all ties with his friends and school. This is a typical case of domestic violence:::

Fortunately, in the end things are getting better
Spoiler (highlight to view)
even if seme don't move a finger for the housework and continue to restrain the uke to see his friends...

The rest of the story is not bad, the way the uke is strong-willed is very pleasant, there is a decent plot, some action, etc...
but this definitely make me worry for the fans of this kind of story ! My feminist heart is hurt !!!!

There is plenty others yaoi with PASSION but consented sex and where protagonists thinks about other's feelings and happiness, not just about possess them. Something which worth fantasm... ;-)
