High school is difficult for most kids. But for Kayano, a shy girl whose single mother seems to work all the time, it's even worse than usual. She's so afraid of drawing attention to herself that she can't tell the handsome Kamijo how much she loves him until one day she finally gets up the courage to write him a letter confessing her feelings...

At first, the story looked really promising and exciting. Then it gradually started getting more and more... boring. The main character became really annoying too - I hated how she kept crying all the time. And the art is not my cup of tea either. I tried to get used to it, thinking that the story would make up for it. That however obviously didn't happen. The art only gets a bit better towards the end. And speaking of the end, it felt really rushed and even though it was a happy end it was unsatisfying for me. It felt like the mangaka was in a depression and decided to take it out on the characters. But one day she woke up in an unexpectedly good mood and decided that they should just end up together no matter what. All in all, this really turned out disappointing for me.
Yet to see...
I'm still at around volume 7 of the whole manga and what's really bugging me is that 80% of the time Kayano just keeps crying. Irritating at times but I do love their "moments". Hope it gets better..
This series had a slow, ugly start- a bit like an ugly duckling. The art really looked weird in the first few chapters, but it got better- WAY better. The storyline was simple, effective and heartwarming. One of the best shojou mangas, this is definitely recommended.
A beautiful, sortive indie tale. The modern uptake, and the general image were enjoyable. I loves Haru and Kayano's relationship. So kawaii! Only Takanashi-sama could make a story fit with it's words so well.
you can really feel takeru's and kayano's love for each other. their relations to each other get a bit confusing later, but that just made me disregard their whole step-siblings thing. the art turns out beautiful by the end, so that's a plus. i just have to comment on their fashion sense, though. it's a lil weird. :0 but i wouldn't mind if ppl in america actually made the jewelry that takeru wore. a happily ever after story, if ur a phobe.
Deep and touching...
Deep plot, where you can see the effort every character makes to grow up and stand the situation. They love each other just the way they are, but since the world is a defying battle, they give their best to solve all the problems around and end up together. I like the end! It's my favorite part! I approve Takeru's decision and I think that the mangaka gave her best here to make the plot more realistic. The final chapter is soooo cute! We can see at the end how much they grew up and improved, and kind of gives me that feeling of "Oh! I'm so proud of seeing these children growing so strong!" lolololol

don't let the begining fool you because this is one of the greatest ever! after the first volume the drawings become more beautiful with each chapter; the story line will move you and make you cry and laugh and be happy it'a masterpice that's worth reading i will always remember this great manga and i really like the artist's style
Love a happy ending
Ok, so when i first started to read this series i was dissapointed by the artwork but if you bare with the first volume the artwork improves and the plot really develops. I really liked the characters in this series, and i loved the ending although its a little cliché i'm a sucker for a happy ending. This series is definitly one worth rereading which says something because i very rarely reread manga.

>< Sorry. Didn't like it... The art totally killed it for me. But, the drama is nice ^^ So for those who can't take to art, just watch the drama- The story for both, though... AWESOME~!
Get past first volume!!!
Wow did i freak when i saw the art on the first chapter but after getting through the first volume the art is so great, so do not give up! I wanted to read this one because i had seen the drama a couple of years ago and it was really addictive and just great. I still wanted some kind of closure since the ending was sort of hanging but in the manga is beautifully completed. I really enjoy this mangakas work, so far i think this was one of the best and although the drama followed the manga there are many other things included in the manga that were out of the drama. Speaking of drama, it's not as dramatic as the series thank God.
