I'm amazed at how many people gave this a "1". It doesn't really make any sense. I'm willing to bet nobody here's actually read it.

"Its art is so crappy/old school/ugly/etc"

This is a comic that came out in the very beginning of the SNES era. 1990, when Super Mario World came out. The first part of the story follows Super Mario World. The art isn't supposed to be super-serious. It's just funny, comedic, slapstick-style art. And it's for little boys. Really, it's serialised in Corocoro.

I'd be amused to actually see some good reasons as to why this series sucks. It's very funny, as someone who's always loved the Mario series, it's cute.

tl;dr: It's kid's stuff. It's funny.
