The may be better works of this length (Laughter in The End of The World comes to mind) but I really enjoyed it and even shed a tear.

Surprised to see this was the author of enma gravel, an action one-shot I also liked and that he got an axed manga in between.

The setting, the characters.. things we've seen so may times, yet it is still refreshing to see a different take on it. The MC is quite likeable, and his [sword] is a pretty "good idea" for a weapon. The art is also great! This whole thing reminds me of the day I first read Boku no Hero Academia.
