For those who take comfort in edginess but more could have been done

The problem is even though there's enough world building content that could have been explored it focuses on one main thing that forces the story to go faster.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The boy is a target but you don't find the story straying from that direction. There's power ups but they don't last long and seem irrelevant because either way the characters are close to death.

I'll give it a 7.0 simply for author being able to create atmosphere and genuine deep emotion that keeps it from ever feeling like a slice of life. The story seemed sped up as if the artist became tired of it. I can confirm this was the case because the author stated in her afterword that she slowly lost motivation for the series compared to when she first started.
Since I personally get in the mood for edgy stuff I can tell you I personally enjoyed most of it but that doesn't mean I'll excuse it's flaws.
The art is good.
The story telling could use some work. It works well for a mini video game but not a series. Honestly it could have been summed up in 5 chapters. But the author seemed to want to work on the romance.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The main female lead comes off cold to our protagonist the male lead but it's understandable since she's not a human being but learns to become a better person. She has the most character development everyone elses character development need work especially the bully. Forced to brush over his behavior as if it wasn't severe or traumatizing for our male lead. For the female lead it's understandable because we're told why she acts the way she acts. Bully also has a crush for the female lead that comes out of nowhere.

The author could have shortened the story and left out the romance or made it longer and took better time to develop the characters. Since she only focuses on one plot point and avoid subplots it shouldn't have been too difficult to avoid plot holes.
But I enjoyed it and honestly believe the author could have done better if they tried.

Good first steps

It's the author's first work - and it shows:
- Some of the characters weren't fleshed out - there were changes in behaviour that couldn't be linked to any character development in MULTIPLE characters
- The art detail quality was fluctuating
- Thematically, it was all over the place. It started as a psychological horror school-life romance moved on to become a roadtrip-movie and then we somehow got Transformers vs Godzilla and that wasn't even the last stage
- Every single fight got a "This isn't even my final form" moment - which gets old pretty fast.

Now that I've complained:
It also made me want to read the author's other works because the basic concept was fresh and the characters were quite lovable for the most part. I could binge through the entire thing without getting bored. And despite my earlier complaints about the lack of art details at times - the overall composition in panels showed that the artist is pretty damn talented.

Looking forward to seeing more in the future.

Not that bad of a sci-fi manhwa.

Honestly, I picked this up because I wanted to see completed ones like this one at this time to be removed from my Mangarock collection and such, having no expectations on such story since it's not my cup of tea.

Bullying stuff got me irky and bored in the beginning, with loser male characters and only strong female MC or the other way around just like most average stories. But midway thru it, things unfolding better: Sagi, hunters and other drinkers being together for one goal: to kill high ranks including the King. Narcissistic mom. And such. But like all characters here, it's always the grey area. Some said here, those characters whose common background bored some readers, because violence right, well I was quite surprised tbh since it was fast paced much like they said and pretty tight up to the end, kept me on the edge of my seat. Oddly well developed characters midway thru it. Jokes got me well enough.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Hell, it slipped my mind, the fact that how huge ass monsters didn't ruin their small outfit they wore and how the heck Dohoon got his beam shooter, and at the end I noticed Sagi's wife looked exactly like him so lmao, Chinese incestuous huh.

I thought it was just a shoujo manhwa thru its love triangle kinks but apparently it's also shonen induced violences so I guess it worked fine. I wound up rooting for them all because somehow psychologically it made sense though. This is only character wise and overall which I liked, but plot wise as in whether it is being unique, I don't really think so.

I don't regret the fact I kept sticking to the end. Overall, pretty cute and dark manhwa honestly.

The main girl is the definition of what I find attractive so even if the story is kind of stupid I still love it

I agree with the other commenter that the series is a little sloppy. You have several characters with similar backstories/traumas which is a little bland. Each chapter feels a bit fast paced but without actually moving the story along that much.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Enemies and even the mcs easily switch personalities and sides as some background is dropped. Overall inconsistency with most characters personalities

Still it's a fun read, the art gets better, I like the characters enough, the overall plot is not bad, and I take that most of the other little snags are because it is this author's debut work and creating a serialization that quickly could not have been too easy.

I have mixed feelings about this show. After finishing the story it felt like the story did not have a red line at all and that the author just threw in whatever they felt like. Some characters had great potential but got done pretty badly in the end and there was a lot of loose ends that sadly did not get tied even to the end.

It was okay. I usually never vote unless I like it 10/10 but I don't know how to grade this one. It felt like I read plenty of different of shows in one show and some character changes and choices made no sense and same with the powers. I hope the author will keep creating though and grow but in the future try to keep the red line plot wise but also with the characters. Otherwise it will end feeling sloppy or just not satisfying at all for the reader.
