A Solid Manga Made By Square Enix

I didn't even know the company Square Enix made things like manga. I didn't know what to expect, but this is a pretty good manga for FF fans. Naturally there are FF references everywhere, for example characters like the white wizard Minwu. The premise seems quite quirky and fun at the beginning, but the producers seem dedicated and have the intent to make the story serious and impactful. I get the feeling that they are making a serious effort to create a good manga. The chapters are long and the art is great!

The main character is the focus and nothing else matters

The supporting cast only exists to benefit the MC and show off how skilled he is. If you've seen any other power fantasy isekai, you've seen this trend.

The world's internal logic doesn't make sense either. All foods have a statistical bonus that is strong enough to be noticable the second you do the action being buffed, yet this is not common knowledge. It only becomes noticed once the OP mc uses his identify skill. Humans didn't need a magic spell to know certain foods have health benefits or are poisonous, you can tell through experience. It's very clearly just built in such a way to once again facilitate the mc.

It's a shame such poor writing permeates the series, because the art is gorgeous. You'd also expect the world building to be better since they have all of FF to draw upon... Yet here we are in generic fantasy hell, just with the occasional moogle.
