Description
Seiji Sawamura is the toughest seventeen-year-old in town, feared by all for his fighting prowess and his deadly "devil's right hand." But at heart, Seiji is a softy, and all he wants is an end to his seventeen-year history of being a lonely single guy. Unfortunately his tough-guy reputation only serves to decrease his popularity with the ladies. But what happens when one day, his right hand becomes a girl?!

This manga actually made me laugh. Not just chuckle and smile, but really laugh. There are some really great chapters (special mention to the one with a bike and the one where he can't speak), the art is good and most of the characters are really well depicted.
The romance part is a bit lacking honestly, except in the last volumes. Before that it is mainly a way to have some funny situations (which are actually funny for once !).
At first, just like most people, I didn't want to read it even though it appeared more than once in my recommendations, since the plot seemed just... weird, unattractive. But I figured just like every other manga that it deserved a try since the critics were good. And I don't regret it, I finished it in one sitting (8 volumes isn't that long). I originally planned to give it a 9.5, since to me a comedy manga shouldn't go further. But it had something more than just a comedy manga, so I gave it a 9.8.
In a nutshell :: highly recommended.

im not gunna lie... when i first read the summary i was extremely skeptical about this manga... as i read it got cuter and cuter... eventually it had totally sucked me in and i couldn't put it down... i would recommend this to anybody who likes typical doof manga romances
Absolutely loved it.

I first heard of this title on this website, read the summary and proceeded to think, "WTF?" before forgetting about it for a few years. Then about late last year I somehow went back to it and figured might as well put it on my wish list. I started reading the manga last night and literally spent the whole day today reading it till the end. I've lost count on the number of times I've burst out laughing and am now still just finished wiping away my man-tears knowing that the great journey has ended.
A unique storyline with adorable characters, hilarious comedy and pretty good art style considering its vintage of early 2000s. Definitely a recommended read. Loved it.

Well drawn, and as I said above, it has all the qualities of a shoujo manga. Well, also had some light spiced scenes.
As someone noticed before Midori/Sawamura story is really short if you consider that lots of chapters is to tell us their friends' stories.
In summary, a good soft reading.

I wish it was shown their development after Midori comes back to her body, but, oh well, I think it's due to you to imagine it...
The characters grow as the story goes by and Spoiler (highlight to view)
it is funny to see Sawamura love develop little by little.

It was out of pure curiosity and others peoples recommendations that I forced myself to read Midori no Hibi. I can say that I have never been so amazed by a manga that shows both sides of humor and romance. At first I was a little skeptical due to the fact it being quite "weird." I honestly didn't figure out how the characters would get a long with each other when a girl turns into your right hand. Somehow Inoue Kozurou managed to get it done. The scenes with humor actually made me laugh, it wasn't even the drawings it was the dialogue which is what got me.
To a person who's been reading ecchi manga all this time, I can safely say that this is one of my better favorites in the manga world. I will surely read it over and over. To those who are skeptical, please read it before you judge it. I surely have not regretted making my decision to read Midori no Hibi. Trust me you'll love it.

I avoided this for a long time because I thought the idea of having a girl as your right hand is just stupid. However I decided to read this and it turned out pretty good. The main character is too funny. The female lead is adorable and the story is amusing. At the end it turns dramatic. The end was predictable but still good.
loved it

This is definitely one of the funniest mangas ever. It has a touching romance story but the comedy is the main focus of the manga. The humor is very creative and delightful. There's also very little repetition in the humor, so you won't be bored.
Except for Seiji and Midori, the other characters don't have any development but they add a lot to the humor. Although the story develops somewhat slowly, it left me with a very satisfied feeling when it ended.

I've read Midori over and over and I still laugh at the jokes and I still cry in vol 8. Inoue has done a great job on this one (LOL God of manga).
I wanted to read it since a really long time (since I watched an episode on Animax but couldn't remember the name). Thank god I found it! It was an amazing read and it was so funny, once when I was reading it in the middle of the night and laughed real hard my mom woke up (and then turned off the computer). I loved Nao!! She was so cool...I was disappointed that she wasn't included in the anime. Rin Sawamura was another one and Seiji was too cool.
And the character development was great, the artwork was amazing (Midori and Kouta were soooo cute!!!) and it was a worth the time (and money).
Go read it if you haven't!

this man truly has seen the god of manga, the story is just great and its probably one of the most funniest to be existing and as some already said i totally cant understand how someone can come up with an unique plot like this, yeah it was touching pretty often and the end was sad but great at the same time, really had mixed feelings there
this man now stands on ma top 3 next to Oda and Ken, thats a masterpiece
but i also find the omakes to be great (must-read), the teachings of the god of manga sure got style and were freakin hilarious , especially the impact factor and the u-must-love-magna-more-than-anything-else, omg i loled so hard there i still can remember it xD
