Rather slice of life than tragedy or BL

This wouldn't even count as low-key BL, it was just a portrayal of a really strong bond and different familial rellationships. The characters had enough depth and got the development they deserve, although compressed, I would have love to see that panned out in at least 80 chapters. That's probably why the ending felt underwhelming and lacking a conclusive ending. This story really had more potential, a shame.

I liked the characters and the storytelling. The drawings are also really pleasing. But as said below the ending is underwhelming. I also would have liked more character development.
All in all it feels incomplete…

For some reason this story was tagged as shounen ai on the site I was reading, but it's really more of a brotherly relationship. Ending felt a little underwhelming since
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
there was a buildup to Shi Yi being missing but no clear explanation of where he was, what exactly happened, and what was gonna happen with Ming Qi's dad's case.
It was also tagged as a tragedy, but it's not (if you discount how they became orphans I guess).

So I saw on one manga site that it was tagged as a tragedy? I'm not sure if it is tagged that way because of their past or because if it is actually a tragedy but I'm kinda scared to find out and after the latest chapter (27) I'm kinda worried that it will be. Does anyone know if it is or not?
