Description

From Stage Storm:
Yukino, a single skater who had to quit because of a lesion, goes to say her farewell to the ice rink where she used to practice and is now being demolished. Itsuki Kouga, a former skater and head of the group in charge of the demolition notices her skills and makes a proposition to her: to pair up with Romain Guilbert, a half Japanese half canadian skater who ranked 6th in the Junior World Championships, for ice dance.

This is not a run of the mill manga. The story is fulfilling and deep, and the characters are realistic. The only thing I don't like is the art style which is a little too "olden days manga" for me, but Saitou-sensei still draws really well. Some of the scenes are just beautiful. I got so hooked on this I was like screw it, and found the Chinese version of this online and read/guessed my way through all current 58 chapters. Do you have any idea how much willpower that takes?! T_T But anyways, there's something about the way the story is narrated that just makes you fall deep into it. I've read so many skating mangas, but those are all so mediocre compared to this. Ice Forest is a secret gem of a series.

Seriously, I can't even get through volume 2. The story is boring. It has an interesting plot, but there's something about it that puts me to sleep while I try to read. The characters are a bit one dimensional. It's not exciting... quite dull

Great story. Many underlying stories as well. I don't want to spoil it with a summary, so read it. I think you will enjoy it. I am really looking forward to volume 2.

I've got the raw version,,,hueheu just bought it yesterday even though I couldn't understand it. The story looks interesting and of course you will be seeing a lot of bishies. Just wondering if someone wants to translate it since I can scan the raw version. and if someone can kindly put the summary that would be good.
