From Tokyopop: Volume 1: Karin is a cute little girl who also happens to be a vampire...with a twist. Once a month, she experiences intense bleeding from her nose--we're talking gushers! In other words, she's a vamp with blood to spare, so rather than stealing blood from humans she actually gives her blood to them. If done right, this can be an extremely positive experience that benefits the "victim" as much as the vampire. The problem is that Karin never seems to do things right!

The ending made me cry...I didn't see it coming at all. It fit though, didn't it? Sort of, anyway. Sigh...
Wonderful manga, great plot and artwork, funny, fabulous characters...I did find it a little annoying that the mangaka basically drew the same person for three different characters (Grandma, Sophia, and Karin), but I was able to get past that. This is really a fantastic read =)

I wish it hadn't ended with taking her memory, they could of went about it another way. She could of kept her memory and her family. Except the memory of her being kidnapped, we rather leave that out.

Heart breakingly wonderful
The story on whole was quite deserving of an 8, but the ending just made it ten. First manga to make me cry since I was 12...Man, it was so very, very emotional, the author did an awe-inspiring job with the end. Just amazing. Wonderful story,
Most adorable manga ever
I could hardly keep myself from giggling during reading this manga. It's absolutely adorable. I watched the anime but there was no way it was able to satisfy the craving that the manga gave me. It's witty, cute, expressionful, adorable, and above all else, it's GOOD.
Tokyopop does it again...
I see the new tokyopop description paragraph - it's bogus. Karin isn't a "little girl." She's a high school girl with huge...tracts of land (which are a source of humor when her grandmother meets her for the first time). In stature she's about the size of all her female classmates, so isn't even chibi. Something tells me that tokyopop's translation is going to be pretty awful... Hanaji is doing good work.

Its an interesting story - a vampire that increases blood, and have to give blood instead of sucking it... And now, the story is getting more serious, which isn't bad at all.

Would have been perfect, except for ending
Really liked this series but not really a fan of the ending, which ruined it a bit for me.

I agree with everyone who said that erasing the memories of her family was pointless. There was absolutely no reason she couldn't just live in the world of the light, while still being able to visit her family at night.
That aside I did think this series had great characters, a well-developed romance and there was always something interesting happening to keep you interested. Just be warned the ending may not exactly be the happy ending you're expecting,
enjoyable manga. I like the manga better than the anime. Anime changes the story too much (missing a lot of chars like omukay said) imo but it's done. I liked the brother's story better in the manga rather than the anime. Dunno if Winner is in hte manga or not, but I hated him in the anime. Manga is very entertaining, nice art
Funny and good.
My good......that vampire hunter is so stupid.
