Interesting Characters, "Cute" plot and horrendous execution. The Classic Shounen trap of too many characters strikes again. In this case you could ask how could you go wrong with characters like Jiriaya, Shikamaru, Hinata, Rock Lee etc.... But the answer is you really can. Just throw more characters on top of that aren't as interesting but never quite get out of the spotlight do to the shooty execution of KISHIMOTO.

P.S. I like ramen like the next guy but we don't need whole chapters about it.

Okay to be honest i love naruto, i just started reading the series for a few months now and i like the characters, the story, the whol jutsu/chakra thing and whos not to love NINJAS come on there cool. Like others said the first part of the series hooks u in with the bridge fight, wave courtry arc an what not. BUT later on the story does drag down and you start to lose interest ALOT. It once became a fun story about naruto's journey to becoming hokage and seeing all the other ninjas train and become strong to, now to the whole story revolving around SASUKE.

dont get me wrong i like sasuke but i think the story is to much wrapped up on his end. Also if sasuke is ur favorit character, well prepared to be disappointed later on in the chapters. Character development on the other characters are not even their, like for example ten ten, choiji,kiba etc. Fight scences i think are good but i agree that they drag on to long, especially when the fight not even is that good (ex sakura vs ino). Im reading up to the current chapters right now and its at a Part2 where the characters are older but the story development is still slow, there more questions asked than answers to them and each chapter that comes out can be meaningless to even read because they show NOTHING importent. (like naruto training for the whole chapter) So yeah, i think any shonen fan would love this but be prepared for the flaws that are in the later chapters..

and also dont get me started on the naruto anime -_- all i have to say is that its filler-riffic!

This manga has a great beginning, and a promising story.. but i was really really really disappointed along the way the story develop and all..
It was really promising, what with the cool all-new action scenes (jutsus!) and the ideas of Ninja village in a Ninja world.. it was all good and nice.. up til the point the story starts to drag around.. fight scenes are too long, the drawing gets bigger and bigger (What, a face to take up a whole page? Two boxes in a page? That's all) and worse still, I see no visible character development.. either they did not develop at all, or they somehow jump to become very great for no reason..And let's face it, the story is not much either.. This manga seems like it would turn to another Dragon Ball series with dragged long plot.. we'll see..

this is one of spectacular mangas that i've ever read!!

fight scenes aren't all that great. story isn't all that great. IMO it got better in the second half... but where its at now i dont like it :\

a must read for action lovers.
Or if you're for middle school and below and want to act cool xD

great manga and a great anime..
thats all i can say..

oh man..the second part really broke my hope

the manga isnt all that good to me.....they don look as good and its more boring....go watch the anime and movies!
