It's cute

The humor and relationship and the characters' worries are very well done.

However, although I know that these episodic tales are supposed to be the cute style of Yoshinaga Fumi, I think I'd prefer more of an overarching plot. I'm mostly saying this because I've read some of her other works, and there tends to be too much crack and little direction.

STILL. Love the soft art, and she's got a really good grip on the stereotypes and reality and such. smile

So this is what Josei+Seinen+Yaoi looks like..

Slice of Life manga appeals to me the most and to me, Yoshinaga Fumi does this so well- with so much humour, too. The details in the recipes and cooking segments is so informative.
There was a comment that this work should be listed under shounen ai rather than yaoi because there's not much "action"- I agree.
But the "food porn" substitutes for "action" quite nicely!

this its the type of series i like. it has a kinda aura like nodame, tensai family, usagi drop, hourou, family compo... if you like that kind of mnaga you will like this one, and besides entropy allways makes great choices! i can wait good things from this one.
But one thing to say, this serie its made by Yoshinaga Fumi her works are main YAOI, and yeah this serie should be also clasificated as shounen-ai, the problem its that people often missunderstand the meaning of it, and waits for some "action" ¡it has none!. This one its a delicated story, and if you like simple deep things you will enjoy it. absolutly, this proves that the best genres are comedy JOSEI and SEINEN.

I actually like this one...

Both of the men act like men. Not only that, but they act gay (I don't mean stereotypical), know they're gay, and refer to themselves as gay. (This is rare, trust me.)
There isn't any out-of-place angst or drama. This story isn't sappy or mushy or anything of the sort (there aren't any shoujo sparkles or eyes the size of houses).
It's entertaining and funny while maintaining a sense of realism, and chapter two is practically etched into my memory from re-reading it.

Anyway, it's just a rather humorous story of two gay men living their daily lives in a generally peaceful manner. (Do yourself a favor and read it.)

I'm glad Yoshinaga-sensei got a good project with Kodansha, AND it's a story about a gay couple in a Seinen magazine!! I hope this is one of the titles that Kodansha brings over for their North American debut!! I'd buy in a second!

It's quite good. Subtle and light on the humor. Well, it made me laugh.
I think this is the first BL manga I've read that they actually reffer to themselves as being gay "we're gay, so we.." and stuff like that. They talk about it, in a funny manner, too.

The art isn't the best, but it's fine... And Kakei doesn't look as good as they say...~
