Description
Myoujin is a guide for spirits. Unlike most people, he can see ghosts, ghosts who live and wander in the same world we do. But he's got something even more special up his sleeve: he can touch them. Okegawa Himeno is an ordinary 16 year-old girl studying in Tokyo. But now she's become Myoujin's housemate, infact, he's her landlord. After a close brush with death herself, Himeno becomes able to see the walking dead herself. At least now she's able to meet her neighbours.

Update here. Since no one is translating this anymore, I bought the last four volumes from Amazon UK in French. Just a reminder to folks in the US that Europe seems to get more manga than we do (maybe because their comic book industry is not as huge as ours). So, if no one is keeping up with your favorite manga here and if you speak other (European) languages, you might be able to get the volumes from overseas.
I have tried Psyren several times, but I do not find the characters or the story engaging. On the other hand, "Mieru Hito" grabs the reader right from the start. Himeno is such an engaging hero(ine), sort of like Alice in Wonderland. You get the feeling that she is a real girl placed in some very strange and dangerous situations. She is not just a boy hero with big breasts, like some shonen heroines.
Maybe the "failure" of Mieru Hito to grab the attention of the teenaged boy audience of Shonen Jump caused the mangaka to come up with something that follows the standard shonen formula. It is good to write for your audience, but sometimes it is better to break out of the mold. I think that this manga would have been more successful if they had featured it in a seinen magazine.

I want more chapters =P
it starts off much slower than other mangas, but it gets good past the first dozen chapters.
Pretty good

Reminds me a lot of Bleach. Since it survived 7 volumes, I wonder if it will make it into the next Jump game.
I *really* miss this series.

This series is one of those that I check on every so often in the hopefully unvain hope that someone has picked it up to work on again. I agree with much of what the other commentators have said, especially that it is addicting and would have done better in a seinen magazine or mmmmaybe Jump SQ (was that even around at the time?).
If my real life limitations ever fall away (very unlikely), I'd polish my rusty Japanese by translating Megalomania first, then this, then Mononokemono, Dekisokonai no Monogatari, Yakushiji Ryouko no Kaiki Jikenbo and Kui Tan if the 2hungryazns haven't started that last one up again by then. Ooo, and the last four volumes of Tsukuyomi - Moon Phase.
Why must the good series die younnnnnnng?!?!?!?!
