Description
From Aerandria Scans:

It starts with poisonous herbs under the cradle. Then under the sheets. And inside the clothes. Even mixed in the milk that they feed the newborn. This way the child gradually gets used to poisons and becomes the perfect assassination tool - the "Poison Princess" whose every kiss, tear, and even touch bring death. Her only chance of survival is to fulfill her duty as an assassin and find a way to live on in the enemy land she is sent to... if her heart is strong enough.

I don't like how the stories change perceptive nearly every chapter, it makes it difficult to tune into the story. Mitsukazu Mihara never fails to deliver gorgeous art, but her stories tend to be somewhat of an acquired taste. Like some of the others have said, her stories have been difficult to follow and would end abruptly, before you could even make out what had happened. But if you enjoy the historical aspect of it, mixed with the uncertainty that accompanies the heroines, that should keep you interested for a while.

the story is so interesting, so is the artwork.
I thought the story for first princess is interesting, but the second is mooore interesting.
And IMO, you must add tragedy for its genre.

Soooooo sad T_T

Poison princesses are girls that are fed poison from a young age on. So their body becomes used to poison and starts producing it. They can basically kill with every body fluid.

i love that idea of the poison princess. It is very cruel, but gives me a feeling of reality, I mean it feels possible because it is a well-built and complexly explained idea. This is becoming one of my all time favs actually.
The drawings are beautiful, dark and gloomy. Also is the story. It is very dark with many twists and turns. You can't guess what might happen next, but it still doesn't feel forced. The characters are interesting and likable.
But it is so sad. The story is so damn dramatic (which i love) and you keep on wishing that the characters will find happiness, while at the same time you can't imagine how they could, because it's so twisted.
And then you get another sad turn. T_T
Oh well, this manga also has it's cute sides, but of course it's mostly dark!

If the author doesn't mess up the end this might become one of he best works. (I really have high hopes for this, in whichever way the ending will be, tragic or good)...
I wish this was buyable in my country... -.-

Why is Mihara's manga always that "poisonous"? I mean, you started reading it and bingo, never could you drop it.
Try Dokuhime if you're a fan of Mihara, or just that you're interested in gothic loli and dark fairytales and twisting plot. The gorgeous art and thrilling plot will surely please you.

what happened to the main girl character in the beginning? mihara just killed her off? what the heck? and is the other girl now the main character?
although if you get past that this seems like the one series she can do that is good and is not a oneshot. seriously,, i love this author but she just fails at anything longer than oneshot length. (cough*shigeshoshi*cough)
it seems really interesting and seems to be picking up pace now, i wonder if she is going to
Spoiler (highlight to view)
fall in love with the smallest son of the king she is to assasinate?
