Description
From Fantasyshrine:

Odagiri Yuki, a brilliant surgeon, is also known as the “Absolute Zero Angel” for his ice-cold aloofness with people, and his soulful compassion when he operates on patients. Haunted by a lover’s death, Yuki consoles himself with drugs and sex—… This piques both personal and professional interests in Mine, a neuropsychologist, who accepted Kuneida’s request to cure his friend’s coldness. What would it take to melt the “Absolute Zero Angel”?

So...so...

Oh God, I used to hate this manga-ka and this particular work of hers with a burning passion of a thousand suns (I cringed at the thought of touching another one of hers, so I can't even compare how her other volumes would have stood against my hatred), but now I simply can't imagine it having being conceived beyond someone daring her (possibly herself) to write the most over-melodramatic tripe full of improbable happenstance and characters embodying the very essence of their tropes and nothing else (the defrosting-ice-king-who-deres-his-tsuntsun-so-hard, the...seme (he sleuthed or something? just took a stroll and evidence of the uke's dark and troubled past just barraged into his face or something, and he just uses blahblahblabh IKNOWWHATIMTALKINGTHISISSCIIENCNENCE until it dissipates into the aether from the sheer non-psychology or something?), and the freudian excuse( ? ?? ? ?? ?) villain of villainously villainous villain of villainy villain proportions) and her going, "OK sure."

I mean...it was...a cliche storm. A cliche tempest. I came adrift on an island, dazed. And pissed off. In eight years of reading cliche yaoi tripe of cliche yaoi tripe (digging out the occasional gems) I don't think any other has made me want to curl up going "I don't understand what" quite as hard as this did. I don't even know what to say about it anymore...

For its polar opposite, check out Tenshi no Uta by Nishida Higashi.

Repulsive

I found it repulsive to think doctors that are responsible for someone lives are taking drugs, having sex with everyone and everywhere in the hospitals and sharing drugs. And not to mention, he used drug to win a championship that many got injured and couldnt have. I braced myself so hard to finish this story but it didnt worth it at all. The love of Mine x slut (forgot his name) just came out of nowhere (hes hot, I got drugged, I masturbated while thinking of him --> love)
This is very stupid. Drug dependence and trauma that lasted for years cured by a very superficial love. Everyone in this story have very unrealistically sad past, which makes the story very unbelievable.
"Does he look dirty to u?" Well, yes, his body filled with drugs and semen from various origins and possibly lots of STDs. Thats corny scene makes me laugh.

Well, I know this is a fantasy story that's why i read manga but please what's this "with only those words Yuki successfully cured my trauma" crap phraseconfused so now their traumas are cured in a split of time... If you needed to fuck and say corny words for resolving your mind problems, there wouldnt any use for psychologists. However, I must say the sex scenes were totally hot and im a sucker for that.

Pretty decent

This was an interesting read but i agree with much of what others have said to it being a bit dull at times. I do like the psychological aspects of the story a lot though, but i cant help feeling that Yuki is far too needy and that his 'love' for Mine is perhaps more dependence than love? Its hard to say with such a short story, given more time in their relationship im sure things would be clearer. Overall i found this to be a good story.

I like the paradox theme:
Especially in concern to the stimulant - Yuki says he ran using it, but yet he seems to use it as an aphrodisiac on himself and others - i find it hard to believe he could use it for running purposes if he also gets a hard on from it o.o
Hmm, I'd say average. Definitely read better and hotter series out there. The plot I cringed at. Characters forgettable (so called "absolute zero angel" "melted" pretty quickly huh). Yeah, call it psychological, but there's no build up: flat in other words. And I ended the last chapter with my jaw dropped, a frown and a snort of laughter. It was that unbelievable.

Plotless

This story has to be one of the most shallow tales dealing with psychological trauma that I have ever read.

The "Absolute Zero Angel" is a basket case because of his past lovers and the degenerate sex lifestyle he has been living. In comes our Super!Seme to save the day, curing him of his trauma by... having sex with him. Oh, but wait, Super!Seme said "I love you" before they mated like bunnies, so of course that's completely different!

Plus, the childhood friend who started out as a complex and interesting character gets shunted off at the end as the typical jealous-lover-villain who is defeated by Super!Seme and realizes the errors of his ways. More sex, the end.

...wait, this story was about psychological trauma and the difficult recovery? You don't say! I almost forgot...

In short, if you want a mindless, plotless story with pretty charaters and copious amounts of sex, have fun reading! If you actually care for some reality when dealing with sensitive matters, stay away, stay far away.

HOT. HOT. HOT. I absolutely loved the storyline and the steamy, yummy scenes. Like blueseeker had said, I wanna know what happened to the other character..oh well, it's a worth-to-read manga!

Another great one from sensei and such a great story it is. Like always providing us with quite the intriguing plot. I really like how everything ended, but i hope to see a somewhat continuation with the "other" doctor and see what happens there.
