I'd like to comment on the character's principles clashing against the other. On the perspective of their personal truths, the story creates no evil or good characters, but personalities doing in every way they can to fight for their own veritas. Even the main character is one you'd rarely see in typical action/martial arts characters.
....i guesss

to me, in the begining it was great all the way to chapter 77 after that the author just bust a 180 on the story line and just rushed and ending from there.but i guess i still recommend this manga because it had great art and action but man what a waste of an awesome manga with so much potential i hate when they axed really great a series like this and ruin it. Damn this is why i dont watch series that have been axed at one point

i mainly hated how the author just killed off the school and half the side characters like they werent shit just to end the series wtf MAN?/!! also Vera...... that supid bitch!!!! i hope she get her ass kicked by the main character and if not by him then by her big sister (even though shes an evil bitch too) and then i hope she burns in hell for what she did, damn the author needs to make a sequel already

Hmmm... I'm surprised something like this can come out so well in a manwha. It's weirdly realistic in such a way that it's almost frightening. I have to say, I was not expecting what happened at the end. Completely left me speechless. So many emotions.
I'm pleased to say that I was completely bewitched by the characters. The beauty of the girl characters was sublime (REALLY nice proportions too) , and the boy's muscles weren't overbearing but "tough". In fact, this puts a massive emphasis on technique and endurance. And I loved how they were were twisted.
I think the characters, themselves are really important in the development of the plot because, although the plot is good, the characters are definitely the FORTE of Veritas. You want to see what he or she can do next or will do. These characters grow mentally and physically at an alarming rate, but it doesn't seem sudden or rushed. Would've liked to see more of gangryong though.
The ferocity of the fights were mouth watering. I couldn't even begin to imagine martial arts was such a wicked world. Usually you see blood going everywhere, but never realize the reality of someone getting hurt or dying. I'm quite astounded the author managed to instill the reality of fighting into something which is, let's face it, fantasy.
The plot is really well thought of, very clever, but also intriguing. I think many of the things said towards the end and the discoveries are a MASSIVE boost for the next part. Possibly the only downside is the shortness. I agree with the many people who say this could have been developped further, probably so we can get attached more to the characters. I think this would have had more of an impact in the last scenes. Plus we don't always have enough time to get a feel for the relationships, again something which could have affected the last scenes favourably.
Overall, AMAZING, sucks about the title though.... don't think it really had its place in the story...could've done without... plus Veritas means Truth/Honesty therefore... I think it was a last minute title!

An amazing story with an amazing end, though not completely. Reading this was alot of fun and I constantly craved for more. The fights were well drawn and well thought out. The crazy super powers the main characters had could have been ridiculous but they were all entertaining to watch and read. Last but definitely not least...I couldn't read this manhwa without drooling! The girls are just such eye candy. Madoka was definitely my favorite with Vera in second. Can't wait for the sequel!
Liked it and wish there was more...

Well it wasn't a 10 due to the rushed ending and leaving many points pending (probably for a continuation). The drawing is great. Full of details, showing the emotion on their faces and body language. The story is good. Not the best because it is interesting but could have been better developed. Sometimes one or another character could remember us of others characters from another manga, but it is ok, the similarity stopped there.
In fact I really would appreciate to read a continuation to see what happened with all the story cliffhangers.

I've read a lot of reviews, and many of them seem to be complaining about how it is written instead of actually reviewing what is written. "I wanted more of the main character", "I wanted more of the school life", "I wanted more ecchi"...well that's not what this manhwa is about. How can you give it a bad review for something that it isn't?
This is a story about modern approaches to traditional martial arts, and the struggle between those traditionalists and their contemporaries. It is about fighters finding their "Veritas" (truth). For some its political/economic power, others it's cultural tradition, and some just want to be strong fighters. In any event, the art is fantastic, the fights are satisfying, and the development of both characters and their abilities is obvious but not overstated.
Some people mentioned confusion because the plot is pretty involved, but much of that is remedied now that it is completely translated. It was only hard waiting a few weeks between scanlations when the plot was getting heavy, and you would have forgotten all about what was said previously. Rereading it a second time through was thoroughly enjoyable. The ending was a bit rushed, but it leaves a great bridge into a potential Part 2.

The main guy was great, but the series barely even showed him as it went on, making it so much less interesting that the first couple volumes. The story made sense but it wasn't as much fun and the whole big plan that it was building to never happened.

megaman2290, i will have to agree with you. i did the same fucking thing to find out that it has the most stupid ending. I cant believe thats the ending of such a great manga, hopefully their might be a sequel to it.
But again, its not really the author fault since they had to force an ending. it seem from what i heard , the manga was not really selling well for some reason and were force to cancel it. so i guess i cant blame them but the people that didnt bye it (and yes bought and have up to 9 and just realise it didnt have a good ending).
i will give this manga a 7 just because of the ending, but the story and art is good.

I dont know if anyone feels this way but the manga kind of completely changed from the way it started. it began like any shonen series weak guy trying to become stronger but then all this complex crap about reunionist and traditionalists just showed up and spoiled it for me. Dont take me wrong the manga is pretty good and a worthy read but i thought there should have been less politics and more of a focus on the main characters school life.

one of my favorites! there's action, no fucked up main character with an outdated idea of chivalry and he doesn't talk all about good and evil either, which is awesome! Lightning Tiger was a badass, so is the dude with the shaved head-even though he has lost his power.
in order of badassedness
1. Lightning tiger
2.Gangryong
3.Vera
4.Honse
5.Jeeha
